I don't mind the whole cell-shading thing and all, but I wish they would have kept the original game world like this.

The whole "Post-apocalyptic, colorless wasteland" trend is getting really old, and I like this "green badlands" look they gave it back then.

A unique art style doesn't mean shit if the only colors you use are grays and browns.

One more thing: why the hell is there no motion blur in Borderlands?

While it is true that m-blur in the PC version can be enabled, it should be there by default, or at least somewhere within the game's graphics options.

Of course, that wasn't my point. I simply wish that they would have stuck with the original art (not graphical) style.

I am actually going to like this game more than Call of Duty (at least, when it comes to the Campaign) because I found Modern Warfare too linear. In this game it is going to be a way of travelling around on your own will. That's what I want.

It's just said that all enemies are the same and that the worlds seem empty due to lack of allied NPCs or actually inhabitants.

This is gonna be the perfect mixture of FPS, Sandbox and RPG.

well I disagree with what you said and to me graphics matter, in the age of today, where we can come out with games like Killzone 2, Forza Motorsport 3, Uncharted 2 and Gears 2 (just a few games in a bunch), like to some people no one cares about character development, or plotline in games, but I care about those and I think that they are important in a game, I also happen to think that graphics are important in a game as well. But I value other things in a game besides the graphics.

i loved teh game so much more when it had the gritty realistic feel to it like fallout 3 did but they opted for the crappy cel shaded crap that makes it look and feel like a damn cartoon. The most memorable games are the ones were you look up into the games horizon and say wow isnt that amazing but in this one it's wow wtf is that. look at the game before and look at it now they both have the same gameplay but different feel. I think you can customize some aspects of your character, as I think I recall Randy Pitchford mentioning in one of the many interviews on youtube that you can make Brick purple. I assume this means you can change some parts of the characters, such as facial features and/or colours.

You can change the color scheme of each character. Adding solids, or designs. If you wanted black pants or pink pants, you can. Or even camo design pants in any color.

I believe so. It's mainly for multiplayer when you get more than one character. So if you had an all black Lilith and so did your friend, you could go for another color scheme to stand out for your team.

Ur characters have set names and appearances u cant customize em there are 1million different gun/weapons throughout the massive world. i haven't heard anything bout special guns if u pre-order though. this is what I've heard about borderlands and I personally can't wait for it to come out. hope this helps some people but remember im not 100 % sure on what I just said.

No I am a gamer, I play a wide variety of games, I still even have a SNES that functions extremely well. I am just a little more critical about things like that, I hate the direction that they took the game in, if they make a game a certain way and it looks good don't change the graphics, just leave it. Plus from what I saw the graphics don't look bad, they look alright, but I don't like that style of graphics that are being put in the game.

Seriously, it's not so bad. Looks like a gritty comic book. Any game company can make realistic graphics. Only a few take the chance on a stylized look and pull it off well. And the screenshots I saw were superb.
