These broke Master Xehanort and Terra's memories, and it made New X a good person. When Xemnas and Ansem were defeated, the memories came back, and New X became evil again.

@OnyxCrest the kingdom hearts storyline is more less of an enjoyment, but a challenge to your mental capacity, in my opinion. hopefully, KH:DDD and KH3 will straiten it out soon.

Xehanort became a Heartless and became Ansem- The Seeker of Darkness. Ansem seemed to have an effect on him since he went through the dark real in order to go to the worlds. Ansem took hold of Riku, and that's how we get our Riku boss fight in Hollow Bastion. He fought against the darkness in his heart and Ansem until KH II, where he lost his dark power.
@Nervakis Roxas looks like Ventus because Ven was in Sora's Heart when Roxas was Created, and Vanitas looks like Sora because Sora filled the Half of Ven's Heart that Vanitas used to be, But there is no logical reason why Terra looks like Xehanort

@horrokeks remember the phrase "all hearts are connected" from the game? The hearts of Terra, Xehanort, and Riku all seem to be connected and they seem to all take similar bodies as well; similar to Sora/Vanitas and Roxas/Ventus.

@TheReggieman2 did u beet bbs? ven's heart goes to Sora and asks if he can reside there because his heart left his body (reason why his body doesn't wake up) axel even points out that roxas has feelings which nobodies cannot have (in 358/2), the whole organization points out the fact that xemnas is hiding something, since roxas appeared(ven reawakened) after all the hearts left sora, it was convenient for xemnas to call ven roxas and make a new identity for him, van is ven but thats irrelevant

@OnyxCrest the kingdom hearts storyline is more less of an enjoyment, but a challenge to your mental capacity, in my opinion. hopefully, KH:DDD and KH3 will straiten it out soon.

@Nervakis Terra, Ventus, and Aqua are supposed to be parallels to Riku, Sora, and Kairi, respectively. It's futher proven when you see that they all inherited their power of the keyblade from the respective characters of BBS.

@Nervakis Not really. Terra and Xehanort merged together when they fought Aqua. He became Ansem's apprentice.
Xehanort became a Heartless and became Ansem- The Seeker of Darkness. Ansem seemed to have an effect on him since he went through the dark real in order to go to the worlds. Ansem took hold of Riku, and that's how we get our Riku boss fight in Hollow Bastion. He fought against the darkness in his heart and Ansem until KH II, where he lost his dark power.

@Nervakis Roxas looks like Ventus because Ven was in Sora's Heart when Roxas was Created, and Vanitas looks like Sora because Sora filled the Half of Ven's Heart that Vanitas used to be, But there is no logical reason why Terra looks like Xehanort

@generalsuperfrog123 That is unlikely, Xehanort said that when he met Terra in the Land of Departure he knew that Terra would be his new vessel, if he was Terra's dad he would have already known him! (So he is not the father!) but that was a good theory ;)
