  • kendama>life

  • @ReferTtoTHS then kikbo>kendama>life

  • If you like Kendama, you would dama. If you like Kikbo, you're a fag.

  • @F0r3StZ1 I'll give it to you straight. I've Kendama-ed before. It's aight. It requires coordination. I respect that. To be perfectly frank, Kendama, when played by the best of the best isn't that impressive. It's not that cool to watch.

Okay, Kikbo? It's not a stationary sport, you have to make an effort - you gotta exercise, sometimes I'd rather sit and do nothing. But that's what makes Kikbo sweet. It's acrobatic, It's awesome to watch at a high level and most importantly: KIKBO IS FITNESS!

  • fuck that i'd rather dama

  • @EnjoiLife1nce bo>dama

  • Huh. Its like a soft hackey sack with feathers. Probably insanely hard to stall with though.

  • @tirangord2 The bottom is actually more like a bouncy ball than a hacky sack (it's a combination of rubbery and hard discs). Anyhow, you're right hacky sack is prolly a little easier to stall, but that's not always true, because sometimes the feathers hold it onto your foot. We're uploading a big tutorial video now on stalling and other tricks...

  • this is just a guetto hacky-sack

  • @MrBraziliankd Nah man. Not even close.

  • ???

  • @TheParty5000 we don't know either man

  • this is what the kids at my school need when they play hacky sack in the morning in the halls.

  • brilliant, looks like a ton of fun.

  • Police: You kids look like you're up to know good.. What are you doing..?

    Kids: Playing Kikbo!

Police: Explain the feathers..? Poison darts, I assume..?

    Kids: *facepalm*

  • Typical, only an Asian could do this stuff, * sees white guy then tries it* DAMNIT!

  • I am going to be ordering me 4 of these real soon hahah, looks amazing and kick ass.

  • @Firebirds1337 That's right man! You hack or do freestyle football?

  • @TheKikboCompany Just started hacking a month or so ago, and progressed a ton and really love it. Kikbo almost every night now.

  • I love hacky sack and play it on a daily basis. But this thing looks legit.

  • @SEBASdoELECTRICSLIDE Dartmouth Homecoming Bonfire

  • AWESOME VIDEO!

  • this is a traditional game played in asia . its called a "chapteh"

  • @MiraNuraMyra Thanks for the comment - I think it's just called chapteh in Singapore - or other places too?

Our Kikbos are a little different from chapteh - you assemble them yourself so they're more portable and actually durable.

  • wow this is dumb! uh hello HACKEY SAK IS THE SHIT NDD AINT NO ONE OR NOTHING GUNNA REPLACE IT SO QUIT TRYING!

  • Cool!

  • badmitten for your feet? haha.

  • this is gay as fuck, play hackkysack

  • @YourLocalGrower It's not gay. It's a lot of fun. Kikbo respects hacky sack, which is why we sponsored the East Coast Footbag Championships.

  • @YourLocalGrower hacky sack is for hippies

  • @hoodeddemon017 whats wrong with hippies man

  • everyone thumbs down video if u like myachi rate up my comment so everyone sees

  • @dominantcarrot Lol I love myachi but you're just dumb.

  • @ImmaSkater4Life I've played both. Myachi and Kikbo are just different games.

  • lol shuttlecock

  • WHY IS THAT BUILDING ON FIRE LMNFAO

  • @zeroxanthony It's actually just a bunch of logs stacked up to be a bonfire. You can search "Dartmouth college bonfire" to see what it looks like up close - it's pretty cool.

  • singapore its called "chap teh" . used to play it during childhood days.. 30yrs ago... missing the good ol days

  • @zohrinio haha, I have a very similar question for you: "chap teh", "chapteh", "captek", or "chatek" or do all work?

At least in China maybe older people play Kikbo/chap teh ;)

  • @TheKikboCompany yeah all will do.. ahaha.. depending on language or dialects.. it was very famous among the kids back then.. its the cheapest toy back then.. and also some of us will do our own..

  • I have a feeling that Kikbo will be all over the world one day.

This is already popular at Asia. I think.

But i know for a fact that they're popular at the Philippines. :)

  • @benlaputt95 Do you call it lorang sipa or just sipa in the Philippines?

  • @TheKikboCompany just sipa.

You know about sipa in the Philippines?

  • @benlaputt95 Ah thank you. I spent 4 months in China designing the Kikbos you saw in the video, but I don't know very much about sipa in Philippines. We don't have a very large community on facebook[dot]com/kikbo but if you want to explain what sipa is, I'd really like that, both to read and for the other people who like Kikbo, jianzi, etc.

  • @TheKikboCompany "sipa" is basically not letting the thing touch the floor. (which we call Sepak)

And guys compete how many times they can hit it until it touches the floor. We sometimes use our elbows too.

The trick that man with a blue shirt on was doing on the first part of the video, we call that "black magic".

The "Sepak" is made out of a circle metal, maybe bigger than a quarter but a lot thicker, and it has a hole in the middle. And it has straw-like strings as the feathers.

  • @benlaputt95 That's awesome 0:15 BLACK MAGIC!?

Have you ever tried a Kikbo/sipa with feathers? Do they also have those in the Philippines? I'm curious, because I bet the straw/string is more portable/durable, but maybe does not slow the Kikbo/sipa very much in the air...

  • @TheKikboCompany No. We don't have them in actual feathers. Not that I know of.

In the Philippines, if you didn't know, we always wear flip flops. So we play bare foot, or we turn our flip flops upside down and make the bottom of the flip flop at the top. So we can kick it more, accurate if you may.

If you have a flip flop, just wear it upside down. :)

  • @benlaputt95 Flip flops upside down is genius. Especially since kicking Kikbo/sipa is pretty hard without shoes or in sandals.

  • @TheKikboCompany I just liked your Facebook page. :)

I have a feeling that kikbo will be known one day. Its just like hacky sack, but even better. XD

  • @benlaputt95 Thanks for the like! Let us know if you've got ideas for videos or something we can do to advance Kikbo/sipa across the world :)
