The elements of this visual story are nearly impossible to film: Tens of thousands of tiny black birds flying 50-500 feet up in a bright evening sky. This crew got maybe 5% of it, which is the best job I've ever seen of capturing the event on film or video. Kudos to them. To everyone else, you get a small taste here, but I promise you, it's worth the trip to see it live. Bring a bottle of wine and a blanket or folding chair. The show starts at sunset and finishes at dark.
Very cool, just saw tonight. There is a Cooper's hawk now playing along.
