  • Was recently considering getting the GM-X. How does this hold up in the rain?

  • @TheReapersSon If you get caught in the rain it is not the end of the world. Personally would try to avoid that as riding in wet leather is not all that fun.

  • @Sportbiketrackgear what would be your top choice with the dainese new delmar ?thanks brian.

i told a freind of mine in new york to get me the taichi gp evo gloves from you guys and he brought them to me in morocco. they r lovely.

  • @tunawater2010 They are both very good jackets with completely different styling. If you prefer the look of one over the other go that direction as neither will disappoint. If you need ventilation the GM-X Motion has far more perforation.

  • I am kind of built like you in the fact that my shoulders are quite broad. Muscular physique. I am 5' 10" 215 pounds and having a really hard time finding a nice highend jacket to fit right. Do they make this jacket to fit in a 48" inch chest? It seems to be made for smaller guys. I' just really hate when it burries in the armpits real bad. Very uncomfortable.

  • @MrSaydilou77 They did make this jacket in a 48 US. Pretty sure we have them available still. The reality is you are going to be a tough fit. Try the 48 and if it is too tight we can exchange and work with you until we find a jacket you are happy with. The Motoion has a ton of stretch material and there is a good chance it will fit you very well.

  • I have this jacket, and rs taichi suits. In my opinion it fits well for guys that workout. i.e. small waist wide back type. This jacket is bad ass..

  • I noticed that they have Japanese sizing instructions and US/Euro sizing instructions on the RS-Taichi site. Do they fit any differently in the middle?

One of the problems I've run into trying to find a Joe Rocket that fits is that they seem to be made for people that are big around the middle. The GM-X seems to have a similar problem (not nearly as bad) but that may just be because of the padding around the chest and upper abs.

  • @holtky I find the GMX to be on e of the most form fitting leather jackets period. The fit around the waist is fantastic if you are in shape. In this video Burry is wearing a white jacket and it looks thicker in the waist than it is IMO. This is literally our #1 selling high end leather jacket

  • @Sportbiketrackgear I'd like to think I'm in shape. The problem seems to be I don't have the belly to fill out the extra space offered by the jacket.

  • im very interested in this jacket, ive tried on dainese laguna seca, santa monica, and tattoo ykz, i really liked the fit(and loved the fit of the ykz[but not the price tag]). to me this jacket looks a little short in the front(just a tad shorter than average) also i'd like to see a 360 of the black, does the black have the taichi logo on the neck and the sleeve/forearm?

  • will you guys offer the airbag system in the future for this jacket?

Cause if you will, i'm gonna wait before i order.

  • i can't decide between this or the dainese santa monica.

  • Both are incredible! Tough decision for sure.

  • Would the Gun Metal GMX Leather pants with it look way off or is the black leather pant better? Hard to tell from here...

  • I havent rode with the santa monica, but my buddy's got the RS-Taichi and he let my try it last time we went for a ride and I gotta tell you this RS-Taichi is the business. Rode with it on in nearly 100 degree weather and i have to say i had never been that comfortable.

My vote goes for the RS-Taichi. (doesn't hurt that the RS-Taichi is about 200 bucks cheaper)

  • Hard to find a jacket which vents better than the GM-X Motion

  • i have the same problem, i recently just "took a look" at RS taichi ONLINE....cycle gear store doesn't carry it.

Rs Taichi seems to be the Japanese = Dainese.

Santamonica was the best jacket i've tried on so far..it isn't stiff like some of the Alpinestars i've tried on.

Is the comfort on the GMX the same as the santamonica?

Do you think i can replace the backpad with a CE level 2 T pro Type B pad?

  • I would imagine the back pad swap would work. It does have a nice piece from KNOX in the jacket now. The mobility and comfort of this jacket is top notch
