  • You're welcome, and: I agree on everything you wrote (love Buscemi, too!). :-)

  • Cool! Wow Miranda's character is funny! Love her! I'm going to watch this movie soon! It looks really good!

  • Yeah, it's a fun watch... especially the great Jazz music!! Very talented musicians.

The plot is a bit predictable, though. ;) But everyone was doing an excellent job!

(P.S. Heh heh, by the way: Yet another Smith/Buscemi colaboration! *g*)

  • I have to admit the only real reason I want to watch this movie is because Miranda Richardson is in it! Love her! Because of her I have seen some exceptional movies! This does look really good!

  • This is an interesting role for Brooke...it's very different. She does a great job with it, however I like her most in very strong roles that show her character...this one's a bit more subserviant. I think she reminds me of my aunt here...that's probably why this role feels a bit odd to me. Don't get me wrong, she does a beautiful job, I just like her stronger, more dominant characters more...that's all. Thanks for posting this Doc!!!

  • I love the "early 30's" clothes and hair. She looks adorable! :-)

  • Love the look when she's coming though the front door of the bar with the coat and hat...very cool outfit...looks good on her!

What's with her arm behind her back with the flexing of one of her gorgeous hands...I always think of her hands holding the instruments on Greys when I see her fingers...Love her hands.

  • > What's with her arm behind her back with

    > the flexing of one of her gorgeous hands

That is apparently a gesture of swallowed anger/frustration and nervousness.

The role was based on a real person who was abused and often beaten by her husband. (When he was hospitalized, she went to visit him and gave him a good beating in return...)

  • How did you know that '?

  • Because I read it somewhere? ;-)

  • I've been playing it over and over again, and I've realized that I really like it when she wines...which is weird...but when she's wining at 2:38 she reminds me of what she sounded like in the pit on Silence of the Lambs...she has a great wine...and I really can't say that about anyone else that I can think of...that's unique!

  • agreed! her earlier work is great, but she has truely mastered the ice queen role with dr hahn. it's almost a glimmer into the inner hahn, if only we had more time to know her compared to the strong confident hahn that was only the surface.
