Freakin awesome, i met this dude John Sorensen at the Sprint Store on Grape rd indiana, and char is his aunt!!! thanks john i love it!! nothing like some jimi and billy and of course your aunt!!! this is the music that made us!! keep rockin!!
I met Billy Cox in Nashville , when my old band opened for Nitro Function at the Electric Flag in 1971. I was lucky to get to spend 5 days recording with him as producer in Memphis at Fame Studios. A nice man, who cared about the music.
After Hendrix passed, he was wanting to get back out there and play.He said he was in a race with Mitch Mitchell(Ramatam) to have a band with a female guitarist. It is cool he is out touring again .He had some great Hendrix stories.
Just weird. I used to look repeatedly at album covers in the music shops back in the early 70s. Many covers had great artwork, and I was curious about the bands, but there were so many great rock albums around I never heard most of them. Now I hear some Nitro Function for the first time. It's poorly produced and seem under rehearsed, but a sound very much of it's time. thanks for the post.
I bought the vinyl album when it was released in '72, I still have it and still play it. I have a CD copy, too, digitally remastered and frankly, frigged up. The original mix was pretty poor but the remastered version is worse. What a great bunch of songs. I love it still.
you live and learn eh

I doubt it's going to get muted, because, well, it's not officially available, sadly.
