New capital one tactic to steal identity via internally. Offer card to you. You get it and start using it and then a fraud alert is put on the card. You call the company and they want driver's license copy, utility bill copy, but then what they really want is paystub, 1099, or IRS tax form copy. All this to take off a fraud alert. Beware of Capital One. I've had every card ever made to man, and this one is horrible.
@izbyfl it's as little as $75, but can go up to $350... based on your credit and the amount of credit limit you want... you need to save up some more money.. trust me ... this is the fastest way to get a good credit item on your credit report.
@zxcvbnmjhgfdsa1 When people have bad credit the credit companies want security... unsecured credit is for people who have proven their trustworthiness.. If somebody has no credit history, or bad history, the credit card companies will need better assurance from that client
Hmm... Capital One is an aggressive marketer that's for sure..
As far as not working with the client... If the client sticks with their agreement, there is no problem with Capital One.. people take offense when Capital One's collection system kicks after no payments are received.
If you keep up your payments as agreed to.. Capital One is easy to live with.
Capital One is a predatory company that will make you regret the day you ever heard of them. I've never had any business with them, but they call my number daily, evidently in pursuit of a bad debt. They use robo dialers, and there is no one at the end of the line when I answer. I had to report them to the FTC for harrassement. There are many horror stories on the interent about this company. BEWARE!
it is THE way to do it. most hassle free anyways. on the website there is even a card for people new to the country. after one year, the security funds are returned and there is no more membership fee... yes, i work for capital one :P
@bobzippy It is... for a small security deposit, you can have a credit card and put a good credit listing on equifax and transunion in as little as a few months
