@Rkline2292 Is that true? As I recall there were two guy's that did the commercial but the first died because of drugs. How much of this do I got right?
I think they are all branded checkers now I know mine is I wish they'd put a location in my town but in reality shouldn't bitch much my nearest one is a 15 min drive and I'm eating there tomorrow and eating tons of 69 cent cheeseburgers large fries and a very big ass coke to wash it all
Ah ha ha! Seth hasn't changed! Love that haircut, too!
I have NO idea what this fast food joint is, though... I'm assuming a US-only thing, but man it looks so "generic"! No wonder they could afford to be cheap! :D
Funny I remember this too well! For a while there was a rumor that Seth had died in some crazy freaky way (I forget method of death)! Who would have thunk that kid would grow up to be Chris Griffin!
2.22 fuck man thats about how much one macdonalds double cheeseburger costs now oh how the value of money has changed so fucking much its like a tenner nowadays is nothing
And don't forget Dennis Rodman's, during the 1991 NBA playoffs, carving into his hair 'cha-ching' and 'bada-bing', by his public admission due to his fascination with this commercial. This was with the Pistons, and still before Rodman became a highly eccentric character. He had no earrings or tattoos and his hair was still its natural color. This commercial is a true classic; so infectious at the time.
Hell yeah! My dad got those shirts for me, my brother and sister. I love New Orleans but I've never been a fan of the team but for my dad and nostalgic's sake, Geaux Saints!
this was huge in new orleans, i was at the saints game when i was like 5 when seth green came and did the 'cha-ching' shit for the dome...it was the saints catch-phrase 4 a long time...oh, rallys is down south 2 not just west coast
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
this just proves how much of a tool Seth Green really is.... and btw... the company is known nationally as CHECKER'S... it's only rally's on the west coast
Nope. It's Rally's in Indiana. Got many a Big Buford at the Terre Haute locations, usually with a piece of lettuce and mayo they'd neglected to wipe off when they had them made up and all I wanted on mine was ketchup. Hence, I don't go there much anymore.
Now thats classic! I remember this from high school, I would go to Rallys all the time in Bakersfield, CA. They had the best bacon cheeseburgers and curly fries.
lol Snapps was NEVER rally's. Seth was on the commercial as someone who worked at another drive-through. It was supposed to mean that other drive-through's (like the fictional "Snapp's") Charged you an arm and a leg. Hince the slogan "Cha-ching".
Ah yes. Looked for this about 6-7 months ago, and no one had it (the original one anyway). VERY popular commercial. Once this commercial started airing, it wasn't too long that the name was changed to Rally's.
The "CHA-CHING!" actually became a rallying cry (no pun intended) for the New Orleans Saints during the '91 season -- every time they scored a TD..."CHA-CHING!" Weird.
My favorite was the one where a guy is looking at a big menu and can't decide but people behind me get angry and even the guy at the register yells at him "SPIT IT OOOUUUT!!" HAHAHAHA! Darn it! Can't find it!
Later in the '90s, they still aired this commercial when it first became Rally's. I never remembered the restaurant ever being called Snapps (I was only three at the time) but I do remember seeing this commercial advertising Rally's.
We got commercials for Rally's and we didn't even have one, anywhere near us.

I lived in Youngstown and my husband lived in Lakewood when this one was popular. EVERYONE loved it, and would walk around going "CHING!".
When you were broke and didn't want to eat in the dining hall, you could still get a good dinner at Snapps for the change you could scrounge up.
We're from PA, and we briefly had something similar called "Hot N Now", but it didn't last long.
Maybe it's because around here, you still pay tax on food whether you eat in the restaurant or drive-through.
