really a great tribute, oh my, he still has so charming voice which isn't possible to forget... especially of the Memphis Sessions performance... really a good one!
Yes it can matter who you are sitting with at a funeral. Or it does to me. I find getting to know new people stressful, at a funeral, especially of someone I was very fond of, I tend to prefer not to be forced to socialise with new people if i can help it.
Again i'm just suggesting that neither of us can know what Graeme was feeling or thinking at the time but it might be healthier for you to try to find less negative interpretations for his actions and tbh to let it go mate :)
He's got a stutter, so not a big talker, not ignorant at all. I met him in Glasgow Central many years ago and he introduced himself as part of his therapy! he's brilliant! Gx
Well it was a funeral and i must say i'm not very communicative at funerals ... most other times i will smile and chat gladly, but funerals i find i go into myself and often don't see many others i do not persoanlyl know well ... not from ignorance just because of the context of the situation.
not saying this is the same of Graeme just offering analternative perspective on behaviour that can seem ignorant but isn't, or is not intended to be.
I'm not saying he's not a decent guy, im saying he acted ignorantly for no reason at all, i don't wish to go into things any more, lets just say it was a high profile funeral and because im not "famously identifiable" he demanded to know who i was at the table he joined[?], for what reason? It was a funeral, ah well, maybe he was having an off day! but does it really matter who you are at a funeral, or who your with????, whether they're famous and your not???
I'm not really into the Wets any more, but I met GD in 1997 after a concert. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met - really lovely guy. I have very fond memories :-)
Great too see the wet's on you tube and I love Graeme Duffin, easily one of the best guitarists in the British isles. However would have loved to see a tribute song which he played on the original, not a critasizam just my personal opinion.
i met him once .. thought it was the wrong person as he looked more embarrassed! ha .. fantastic Wet .. recording contracts and shit like that couldn't stop him!!!! GD rules

Ultra-gifted guitarist, why the Wets never made him an official member is beyond me. Royalties I presume.
