im just seeing this because i missed 2 penalties ..first one i missed..then i got a second chance because i think someone steped out of line..and when i kicked the goalie blocked it with his leg..instead of hope i gave sadness to my team...last year in the semifinal i took a free kick the game was tied 1-1 and there was less than a minute left..i kicked and the ball missed the goal by about only a foot..we lost 3-1 in overtime..:(

People play defensively through extra time anyway seeing as everyone is tired and doesn't want to lose. It's easier to win on penalties than extra time. If they kept playing players would probably get too tired and the game would have to be called off seeing as players would collapse.
