@bexiboo2010 correction on that Welcome to the Family was one of Jimmy's songs but they didn't finish recording all of it. intro was made by him but Mike Portnoy didn't want to do what the Rev did for respect towards him which was the double thing so it kind of messed with the song and didn't give it that kickpedal speed as the Rev does.

@AlexRohmat yup he gave Matt and Brian the song a month before he died. and they were still recording Nightmare at the time so he didn't get to record it yet, but Brian and Matt made sure that Mike Portnoy would follow that song as to how he wrote it. so the intro was one of Jimmy's solos and Matt even says in an interview that Welcome to the Family was one of his baby's that he loved to mess around with. he also kept changing up the intro so they concluded with what they had.
