  • you say no rudder, but i bet it wouldnt be hard to make one for it ?

  • have u any idea about the price of dash board camera flying plane?

  • Very good flying! Its nice to see high skill in action!!

  • That's crazy. I just bought the Kyosho F-16 55mm EDF a week ago. This one is 90% like the $200 plug and play Kyosho edf, except for the added ailerons and change in the ducting inlet splitter, and cleaner wiring on your model there! I kinda feel ripped off after looking at all these EDF's from nitroplanes..but that's what you get for not researching (or impulse buying an EDF!). I have enjoyed the 3 flights on mine so far, and plan to mod it a little as I get comfortable (rudder perhaps).

  • Whats a good beginner edf jet?I'll be switching from a dynam hawk sky.

  • @hellsrage619 parkzone habu?

  • ive just bought the f4 phantom, but im a beginner just got a simulator, whats a easy begainner plane to start with?

  • How much is it ?

where to order it from, do they have a site ?

  • you should use a spare landing gear from a diffrent plane on that

  • grow up oh wait your already an adult

  • Good news they packing them a lot better, foam bottom in box...

  • I would like your permission to use this video in my store where these G&C jets are sold.

    Shaun @ xtreme toys

  • No Problem. Good luck.

  • I haven't had any RC planes so far, but I'm thinking of getting one. Would it be hard to fly this F-16 for a beginner? Can you adjust the speed?

    Thx

  • This is definetly not a beginners airplane. It does have throttle control, but needs speed to fly.

  • looks to be faster then the F-22

  • Quality : )

  • that is one bad arsed jet there!

  • how much did it cost and where did you buy it

  • read the description

  • does the rudder work well? is it worth it i think i wanna get one but i need some good info on it can u help me?

  • are you a begginer?

have you flown a lot or a little?

do you like to squint at what you are flying?

are you smooth with controls or do you need a forgiving plane?

  • no,yes,no,im good i have a mini pulse xt and a few 4 channel helis plus a 6 channel

  • There is no movable rudder on this plane, which definitely helps with landings in crosswinds, but rudder must be understood. You need to how to use in coordination with the ailerons.

  • ok thanks

  • uuh... windy! im glad u didnt hurt your plane :D

  • sometimes im so scared your going to crash it dave, but you never do Crash Those EDF's , lol ! and its a nice plane.

  • Haha. Sometimes I think Im going to crash too. And I do once in a while. Crashes are part of the learning curve and every flight is a Lesson for me. Thanks for the kind words.

  • dude where do you live, its always windy; are you in the mojave desert?

  • Always windy, is right. I'm in the Midwest.

  • cool how much it cost? can i get them in th uk?

  • Thanks. I think NitroPlanes will ship there.

  • That's is a nice plane...

  • Thank you.

  • this guy is usually running products given to him by various rc companies and shops.. on top of his vast experience as a rc flyer and his incredible knowledge doing all this... to those who wonder if they can afford it... if ur worried about affording it, DONT BUY IT. something i have learned doing this hobby is ur gonna break urself doing this sort of thing. it can be highly addicting..

  • Thanks. Your right. I only started getting a few planes and helis in the last few months to be tested. For 40 years, I paid, And if a person does not crash, then they are life long toys. I appreciate your comments,.

  • man ur luky ir welthy and im dirt poor

  • If your alive and healthy, that may mean the most.

  • woah.. thats a big heatsink on that motor!

  • Yes,

  • your a geat pilot

  • Thanks kindly.

  • how do you afford all this?

  • My car cost more than a few planes. Plus I worked hard all my life to retire with a few toys.

  • AMAZING GOOP!!!

  • Truly it is. amazinggoop(.)com

  • OMG.. It's perfect thanks for the review :]]

  • Thank you.

  • OMG! I had NO IDEA that you could buy one this far along. Not much to put it together. Sweet!

  • Thanks kindly.

  • Sorry NightFlyyer, I dont know where I got the idea your name was Eric sorry. Must have looked in the wrong spot. Anyway thanx 4 your reply and yes we like it, very cool NightFlyyer, my son recons hes going to save up and get one:-)

    Thanks Again

    //////////////////////////////////////////murph

  • No problem, Thanks kindly and tell your son to get to saving, so YOU can play too. LOL.

  • How much for this bad boy? You spent $200K!!? Holy Pratt and Whitney!

  • you make great, I mean, GREAT RC reviews, man!

thanks a lot, and keep going!!!

  • Thanks. That is very kind of you to say.

  • LOL!!! I love how you use your mouth to open the throttle. hehe! You always use a 3rd arm at times like these :)

  • why no wheels should show how to make el cheapo gear

  • Haha. Well no damage done, so who needs stikin wheels. LOL. Besides, it is way faster with no wheel drag, and looks nice in the air too. Thanks

  • some nice landing there dave haha

  • Dave hahha"HOLY CRAAAPPP!" haha nice

  • Dave,Do they give you these to reveiw, or do you pay for them?

  • Believe me, the amount of time that I spend making a video and producing it cost more than the planes, but if you read my Bio, you will know about it more. In the last 40 years, I spent over $200K on model airplanes so that I have become trusted enough to test a few for the companies, so I am honored.

  • Not a good plane for the NEWB RC-er. ha!

  • "its all pretty bitchin actually" xD lol my dad says that was the slang back in the day.

  • Tell your Dad, "Far out and neat" that he said that to you. I'm laughing.

  • Shit that is cool i want one. Thanx Eric nice one mate

  • Thanks much. Certainly a fav of mine too. Who is Eric?

  • what material is the plane made of ?

  • High Density Styrofoam, which is way stronger than Balsa.

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • well realy like it but with no landing gear i don't think it would fair to well because i live in the middle of a vinyard and only concrete to land on lol

  • Yeah, you need tape on the bottom like mine and it would land fine.

  • that's really fast man

  • Keeps me busy for sure!

  • Haha. My firebird Phantom has no wheels either. Hand launch takes way less time, but your idea would work, But for most people, that is a very narrow runway for a plane with no rudder. Thanks.

  • 4:48 - It broke the sound barrier!!!

    Jk I know it didn't. :)

  • Exciting...even though, ya know. Thanks.

  • Great looking little EDF. Put some skidders on it and you can land on pavement. I like the part at 11:05 "well that wasnt so cool".

    Great Video.

    5 Stars ~ Eric.

  • LOL Thanks Eric

  • what a piece of crap packaged badly

  • Actually, I took all the foam wrapping off. It was well packed, as I didnt think you would want to waste your time with the Bubble Wrap removal. And piece of crap. I think it looks and flys better than and balsa wood plane I would try to make. LOL.

  • NICE DAVE fast son of a botch cant wait to fly my starmax f5 get one of those hobby-lobby they are sweet cold country flying at its finist thanks dave rotorwash46....

  • Thanks very kindly. This one is really fun to fly.

  • think of all the lipo batteries he has now!!!!

  • LOL.

  • Hey, I need some help. Last time I took a ducted fan out, I gave it a nice crash because of the BEC. It totally shut down and gave me no control. Is this one the same way? Do you just time it?

  • The proper operation of a bec is to supply voltage to the RX. The ESC has a bec built in and the power runs in the cable to the Throttle channel. My units all give me warning to back off the throttle and fly in at half. If its too late and the motor quits, they are all designed to continue to supply the bec voltage to the rx so you can glide in with control. Shutting throttle down, & going back up usually re arms it but you have to fly at low throttle. I time my stuff for no more than 6 min.

  • Have you flown or do you own any vertical takeoff planes?

  • No, but have seen a real model Harrier in flight. I have helis for vert takeoffs anyway. LOL I have flown the XFY1 Pogo however and have a video on that you can see and also my video on "will it fly or wont it"d is a vert take off Landing machine I designed and fly.

  • Hi Dave! Foam models have come a long way in the past few years, will be interesting to see the progress 5 years from now. I would like to see better appearance, i.e panel lines less pronounced or eliminated (would save on tooling cost), some sort of smooth skin over the styro (could paint panel lines). The Parkzone Corsair looks like alligator skin. More retract options, (taking off and landing is half the fun). More PNP models. I have a over dozen of their crappy radios laying around.

  • Thanks. I'm with you. I'm more into flying and not looking at it on the ground, but these machines are getting closer to looking pretty good.. They look great to most and knowing how long it used to take to build balsa models like these, I like them. I think we are going to see more and more improvements for sure and the flying is exhilarating.

  • Do they put the ducted fan all the way in the back of the airplane for better performance or weight

  • It is to balance the plane.

  • Hi, may i know where the CG point and KV of your inrunner? Your f-16 is fast man!

  • The CG on mine is back exactly 17 inches from the nose. The Kv of the Brushless is not disclosed, but is using a 30 amp speed controller. It is an OUT runner, by the way.

  • Damn thats a fast little jet lol. Looks like alot of fun though. 5/5

  • Thanks kindly sir.

  • We are really fortunate to be a part in this hobby now with all the neat, inexpensive and quality products coming out. I remember my first plane was a made from balsa and I had used dope, paper and silk to cover the wings.

My first radio was a kraft 3 channel and back then that was a very nice radio.

Thank you so much for your time making these videos.

  • You are old too!. LOL Thanks again.

  • Your videos are the best.

It's actually fun to see how much fun you have flying! I would like to thank you for the support your videos have offered and to say guys like you and your cameraman is the reason why the hobby is growing much faster than I've seen in the 30 years I've been a part of it.

  • Thanks for the very kind comments. I appreciate that.

  • yeah i wanna get me an A-10 Thunderbolt II thats always been one of my favoret jets since i was a kid its just a flying gun barrel that says F YOU when it shows up to the party

  • very fun.thank u.

  • Thanks.

  • Yes sir. Thanks very kindly.

  • i want one give me one pls... my dream toy since i was a child!!!! your so lucky!

I love to be a child again... hihihi

Surely kids will love hanging out with you!!

  • Thanks very much.

  • Very nice Dave, that thing sure is quick

  • Thanks. That it is for sure.

  • Was it just me or did you also hear a 'bang' on one of the high speed fly bys? As if maybe the speed of sound was reached. LOL That sucker is FAST!!! Awesome jet! 5*

    Jeff

  • Haha. Thanks Jeff. Mini Sonic boom....LOL.

  • hey Dave nice high alpha landing looks cool

  • Thanks sir.

  • Jeez that is stupid fast for how small it is :)

Good idea with the tape! But I'd be more worried about getting crap into the fan than scraping up the bottom.

I think you might get a neck strap so you can launch without putting yer mouth on the radio. See my Stryker launching video... I guess you probly know this though.

  • Haha. Thanks. I don't like neckstraps or trays very well, and still would need to bump the throttle up with my mouth, as my other hand is on the ailerons and elevator, strap or not.. What I need ia a 3rd hand. LOL. Thanks for the kind words.

  • Your a better man than me Great Flying in the wind . Its been that way here and I just go back inside. Great performing jet.

    Thanks for sharring Dave

  • Haha. Thanks Greg. Well you know, if you dont learn to fly in the wind around here, you dont fly. LOL Thanks again.

  • Hi Dave. I'm glad you were able to test an F-16. That is one of my all-time favorite jets (Thunderbirds). Are you planning to re-test it when wind conditions get better? Well, great job as usual. Have a fantastic day.

    Regards,

    Marco

  • I will fly it every chance I get, as I really like it.

    Thanks kindly.

  • nice flying with all the test. looks great for its size. this time no fancy landings jet come to ur feet huh sir? lol.

  • Haha. Yep, and I wasnt going to try and catch it either. Ill get closer after I get used to flying it some and when the wind is down.

  • Well Dave, I'm convinced you're a real pro... during the launch at 4:30 the "sissy launch run and toss" was completely missing. That left handed launch actually looked pretty well composed! And sheesh, paint that thing NEON colors, it's so fast and hard to see with that realistic paint job! LOL So, how fast do you think it flies? Landings at 8mph, top speed at 50...70...more? Thanks for your efforts!

  • Thanks kindly. I appreciate that. Been launching like that for years, so it gets easier. I was afraid the bottom was gonna come off when I launched, though, with those magnets. I had to keep that in mind.LOL. It is faster than my F-35 and that flies at 95mph! Gotta get a radar gun.

  • That's one aerodynamically shaped jet, if the canopy and bottom are held on with magnets, and yet they don't fall off while you're ~zipping~ that plane back and forth over the field and with those HIGH winds! Great plane, super pilot, and let's not forget the GREAT camera man! Thanks guys!

((See if you can get Jeff to give us a "sissy launch" for entertainment value, only, of course.))

I still remember your closing the van window as he tried to get that BCX through the passenger compartment!

  • Haha. He is usually running the camera but Ill see. I usually like to launch my own planes, cause plenty of people who have offered and tried to do it threw it right into the ground, so I backed off that...LOL.

  • thanks just bought 1month ago bad nose and wingtips otherwise a great plane do you know of lights for ab. thanks for the vids

  • Thanks kindly. Yep nose is soft, but seemed to recover from my cartwheel, which amazed me. My duct tape on the tips saved them too. LOL.

  • cool

  • Thank you.

  • Cool plane! Great presentation.

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • Hahahaha! I wouldn't think of you as the kind of guy to say "bitchin'"

  • Haha. I grew up in the 60's in San Francisco Bay area...It was a really bitchin time of my life. LOL

  • Nice video......great flying! Keep it up!

    Mike

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • i thought for a moment that i seen this video before because ive seen you fix those linkage right out of the box before..... then iseen the cartwheel.nice plane verry robust..........thanks.

  • Thanks. Yep All these need the linkages beefed up. This time they were just loose, but at least heavier steel rods. In my case, I just put the rods in the holes that gave it the most control, and that was too much.

  • as usually a good video and good review.

  • Thanks very much.

  • great vid 5 stars,, dave what about sr71. 7 ch really like to see that one in action before i buy so i can explain to my wife...new month new toy..so i can use you as escape goat!!! btw great flying

  • Yep, well if I get one, I will review it for sure.

It is a big escape and a fun one for sure. Thanks for the kind words.

  • what happens when you land? do you just crash?

  • Well if you dont fly in 23 MPH winds like I did, you can land nicely on the grass. Im in wet weeds and soft ground as the snow is melting and the plane does not slide well. LOL. But is is not broke. If it is not broke we call that a hard landing. If it is broke we call that a crash landing.

  • very nice dave that f-16 is pretty strong

Aswell i am planning to by my first EDF after tonnes of practising on my rc simulator, bu with edf does it start to bank at highspeeds in real life?

  • dude you need better grammar. i cant understand you.

  • i can understand him fine.

  • no i meant konohasblackjet. i was trying to help him but i dont get half the things he said.

  • Thanks. Pretty strong.

All planes and helis will roll or bank in flight, edf or not. There is less body torque on and edf that cause rolling than a prop job, but you still must keep watch over the aileron controls at all times.

  • nice plane and fast!!!!

    always a good vid!!!

    5/5*****

at 10:01 looks like its breaking the sound of barrier !! hehe

  • Haha. Thanks very kindly. I appreciate that. It is fast for sure.

  • i knew i saw an rc f 16 box in your last video!

  • Good eye.

  • If you have a better radio for this plane put some exponential throw on the elevator and dual rates.Don`t reduce mecanically the big throw because you can use it for landing to land at high alpha when elevator is not so eficient, just to protect that intake from any damage.

  • I personally do not use expos and plenty of people do not have that kind of radio. Believe me, I wont have any problems with landings by moving those rods in with this plane as it is so light. It needs very minimum controls to fly. And since the 23 mph wind threw me up in the air there, cause the plane is so light, I over controlled. But yes, I could go to the trouble of doing all that radio changing, but Id rather fly than be tweaking. For the pro though, with extra radios around, fine.

  • Whey! Lovely little Landing, just to inform you, i will have my first Blade 400 Flight on March 7th (My birthday Yay!) After Months of saving pocket money i should

Brilliant Video and Strong Plane! 5 stars

  • Thanks very kindly. Take your time with the B400 as that is a small beast too. Happy bd early and good luck with the heli. Thanks for the kind comments and rating.

  • That was fast Dave and love how it climbs vertical with no problem at all mate but it is nice to see the master of r/c fight still have the odd bad landing like the rest of us,still well worth the 5*

  • Haha. Thanks. We all crash, ya know. LOL. I should probably not been flying in that heavy of a wind, as it is so light of a plane, but I enjoyed the challenge and also glad you did too.

  • another amazing video from the dave meister! exellent

  • Your very kind. Thanks.

  • cool

  • Thanks.

  • Damn, that thing is screaming fast! Nice flying Dave. Nice belly flop and cartwheel too, lol. :-) Looks like a good product.

  • Haha. yeah the wind is strong and it is light, so it really has to be lined up just right and no rudder ya know...LOL

  • very cool!!

  • Thanks.

  • Cool, as usual very good review.

You should do a contest for your subscribers...

  • Thanks kindly.

  • NIce

  • Thanks much.

  • Yes a tad bit of wind but at least there's no nasty white stuff.

  • that's what she said!

    lol sorry couldn't resist

  • Hahaha. You should be here today, sleet and 3 inches on the ground already.

  • and miss my Oregon rain?

  • very cool

  • Thanks.

  • dude theres still no pilot LOL ha i love it

  • Yeah, I know. this canopy was already built and I did not feel like tryin to take it apart. The windows are tinted, so it is a stealth pilot in there. LOL.

  • that's fast!

  • Yes.

  • Nice vid as always..nice size little edf too

  • Thank you much.

  • another great video!

  • Thanks much.
