Maybe because the music isn't geared to you or to your age group? Music speak to different kinds of people from different walks of life. Ever heard of "Everything" by Pillar? It changed me back then. It's not a "slow" song, it was fast-paced. As if going to war. Just remember that someone in your church is blown away by that music.

It's different now maybe because people lost that belief that they need God and people to live through everyday, so they grow arrogant and lose dependency on both.
