Lots of trains running, not sure how many however. I live 15 miles away. But as a child we lived right beside the tracks. Believe it or nor after a while you dont even notice them passing, Visitors would ask, How do you stand the noisy trains, to which we would reply what trains we didn't hear them. We were so ust to them it wouldnt wake us up
Dear Walter, Your camera / camcorder is fantastic. Who knows in the future buy one. Use Sony DSC90. Your videos, in particular, the trains are wonderful. Stay with God! Abraços from Brasil!
Interesting mix of hoppers there. I don't think I've EVER seen a smooth-side coal hopper before. Was it just this train, or are distributed power units becoming common here on the east coast now? Well done.
Looks like you have now tamed the new software. It is producing excellent quality videos now. BTW, did you use your new tripod in this video? The panning was pretty smooth.
Walter, which video editor are you using? I am thinking of getting a new one myself to extend my capabilities, particularly since I have gotten into Hi-Def and HD big screen tv.
I thought that was alot of cars for two engines, even if they were empty., then I saw the pusher on the rear. Nice catch and video, as usual, Walt. 5*
That's incredible. Walter I just moved right next to a really bussy track. I see mostley freight, but sometimes passenger trains too. I am repainting the inside of the house and I counted 12 trains today. ( I can here them through the house ) How far away do I need to stay while filming? I want to film some for you to see what it is.
Your question is an excellant one. The last locomotive is a working engine. its operated via remote control from the head end. It pushes and it makes it much easier for the train to be moved. This one was empth going home, but when it went south it was loaded heavy with coal for Ga Powers Plant Scherer. Ive worked on these style cars quite a bit. The doors operate on air and its empties the coal while still moving. The never stop.
very nice video keep them coming 5 star's

Thanks, Walter, for counting them for me. How many trains are passing by there a day? Do you live near the track, as the noise seem immense to me?
