  • Yes it's a very "busy" bass line, eh? During the verses, the bass is still churning along.

  • Hello! I'm amazed at how you're doing well . I saw one of your videos a few months ago and it' s getting better. It also motivates me because I play there is not much more than you. Have you tried playing something of folk music?

  • @assaultgun THANKS! I haven't played much folk music- what stuff are you into?

  • @superduperryane

Hello! So glad to receive your response.

I play bass in a band. We do something that's not exactly folk music, but the influences I take in my compositions are all from folk / country music and bluegrass.

At the moment I'm trying to play the bassline from a song called Rox in The Box, by The Decemberists. It seems very creative. Check it out. =) Hope to see more videos from you soon.

  • I love your hair and jacket

good to see you improving :)

    have a nice day

  • Sweetness ;D

  • @catenaccio111 gracias!! =] =]

  • LOVE this song! Forgot what a great farfisa organ part it has too. do you ever make it down to austin? I escaped to austin and bought a farfisa

  • @pdmillar I love Austin, I was just down there about 2 months ago...best city in the world! also, I'm so jealous of the fafisa- video video video eh eh eh ?

  • @superduperryane Weird I haven't made a farfisa demo yet!! Have been too busy playing it. It is pretty much the best thing I have ever owned. I will do some Gary Numan songs on it to piss everybody off

  • @pdmillar bahaha yeah, I can see that....play 'em a little Cars next time! quit being selfish and make zee video, man!!! =D

  • @superduperryane did the cars ever have any combo organ songs? i can't think of any off the top of my head. alarmingly few bands have ever made effective use of farfisas, which has always been a bummer for me as I am usually pretty turned off by music without any. Numan technically qualifies for using the Polymoog, which is basically a really, really complicated combo organ

  • I never realized how tricky this bass line is; nice job. She's got the chops, she's got the rockin' hair, must be time to start a band.

  • @gwxk ha ha! thanks =D your comment made me chuckle. I DO NEED TO BE IN A BAND, darn it!!

  • Very nice!

Thumbs up for the hair as well =)

  • @kerc27 hey thanks! I just got it cut, and I've gotten mixed reviews about it. Why is it that males generally prefer long hair? SUPER LAME. ha ha anyway, I needed a change and I'm glad you like it!! =]

  • @superduperryane I suppose it's got that whole princess effect & it's more often associated with girly girls (IDK, I'm just hypothesizing). You always hear of how sultry & luscious long hair is, cue shampoo ads. Short hair is more sporty and gives you that "this girl is fun & sexy but there is no mystery" vibe. Long hair hides & adds a sense of aloofness to the girl.

Wow... that was a lot of BS on my part =) I say, pick the style that works for you. I'm bald like a cue ball, shiny too =)

  • back with a vengeance! Honestly never knew of this song, but you have awesome taste in bass lines, which has been proved again. I TOTALLY get the hand cramping up thing. I chuckled when you took it off the neck and shook it a bit. You have NO idea how many times I've had to do that over the years. But if you ain't cramping, you ain't tryin', so take it as a good sign.

  • @Spector2112 he he. OKAY you better be watchin out- I'll be covering a tune you already covered veryyyy sooonnnn (though I think my fb status might have given it away a few days ago...) ;)

  • when i saw the title in my subscription list, the title cut off after "Midnight" and i was hoping it would be "Midnight Train to Georgia" just thought i'd say. but this was very good and will probably try to learn it.

  • @suburiboy ha! Maybe I'll that THAT midnight song one day....Post a video when you learn it, too!!!

  • Great cover, a really catchy bass line.

  • @duckscli thanks much!!!

  • Outstanding bass cover!

I never was able to really hear and figure out the descending D#m to C# line on the pre-chorus. You seem to have nailed it.

I also really appreciate when someone posts a cover where you can actually hear the bass.

Excellent job and great sounding Jazz bass

  • @Honda599Girl Thanks so much!!!! You sound amazing and I was inspired when I saw you had covered this tune! Maybe one day I'll be as awesome as you...=]] Keep on rockin'!

  • Welcome back!!!! Great job!!!!!

  • @MrBasskilla thank ya, sir! glad to see you are still watchin' my videos after all this time! ha ha =]

  • Another great effort! Nice to see you back making videosssss! Nice living room as well. Certainly a living room rock goddess.

  • @PookLowEnd hecks yea! I love being a living room rock goddess =] =] plus, I will still kill you at scrabble and mario kart....just FYI ;)
