I found Hogan a big bore and annoying when I was 16. Now, I really find him boring. He sucked. If there was any justice, Muraco or Piper would have beaten Hogan. Would have made the WWF more interesting.

In the ring the guys are usually pretty similar in size, so I just thought Hulk was a normal size person, Andre was huge, and the interviewers were just unusually small for some reason...

You guys who take a dump on the blue cage...have you ever tried to climb a fence? If you have a foot over the size of like10. Wrestling boots cant even get their boot to fit into that tiny slot to climb. It made sense to have the blue cage in my opinion for the guys to climb over. It also mad it more believeable to get busted open cuz of the harder steel.

Good to see a SC match with the old cage rather than the bars they adopted in 1986.

Muraco's upper body was huge then, even compared to Wrestlemania IV some 4 years after this where he'd slimmed down a bit but was still muscular, as much or more than the Warrior or Rick Rude.

It's too bad that they couldn't include Eye of the Tiger, because along with the new dubbed in music, they dubbed in crowd sounds as well, and you can't hear the crowd reaction when Hulk Hogan came out. I was at some of Hogan's MSG matches back in the day, and the crowd would pretty much explode when Eye of the Tiger started.

Yeh i agee. Eye of the Tiger was Hogan's best entrance music ever. Hogan coming out to Eye of the Tiger was 1/2 the excitement right there of the entire match.

@brundelfly72 Yeah to dub in Real American they also had to dub out the crowd noise that came when Eye of the Tiger would play and the crowd would explode.

The pops Hogan would get from even back in 1981 to 1990 pretty much explained why he got the push he got.

And believe me it isn't easy to get those pops with a tough Madison Square Garden crowd. They don't impress easy.

@brundelfly72 I always hated "I AM A Real American", it was such a poor quality song. Eye OF The Tiher would have been unbelievable here because of the Rocky ties to Hogan and Mr. T. But it also a meaner song than the other. This night was one of the mnost significant nights in the history of the WWF. It pretty much started it all.
