MIchael Nyman is credited as one of the writers of this song. Michael loved the way Jay-jay Johanson use the music he wrote for Drowning by Numbers, a song that was also used in the toilet scene in The Cook etc

yes,u are completly right,but u got the movie wrong,this music was in the cook the thief his wife and her lover...1989
My question was retorical,because i knew i knew this from somewhere,and i eventually found out were,..and i removed my previous coment,because i was kinda pissed that jay jay didnt´t make a note on this...by the way,i was in his concert here in Portugal.thanks anyway cissicolpitts. :)

No it was in both movies (if you know Michael Nyman's work for Greenaway you know that the reprises and modulations of a song from one film to another are everywhere !) but since DBN was made before Cook Thief, in my mind it belonged to DBN. Plus, this song is not on the Cook Thief music CD but only on the DBN's one.

The song he is using is a Michael Nyman song, "Fish Beach", written for the Peter Greenaway movie "Drowning by numbers".
