Turtles are the best pets ever. This is such a cute video. They are the sweetest animals and so adorable and affectionate, too. I think David Letterman needs to have people on there to do Turtle Pet Tricks instead of his usual Stupid Pet Tricks, lol.

Thank you! He does have really nice markings. Whoever had him for the first ten years really took good care of him. Possibly Nemo outlived his previous owner. Anyway, am happy to have the little guy as mine now.

That is extremely adorable! I happen to have 2 yet unamed map turtles, but letting them roam takes a bit of a watchful eye, as they're each about the size of a half dollar- you can see them in my videos if you like. Yours seems to fill the position of the family dog! They do have very distinct personalities- one of mine is laid back, the other fiesty and hyper.

I love how everyone loves turtles here. Turtles are so underestimated by people. They are cute as hell and really do have their own personalities. My old turtle used to sleep on my stomach when she saw that I was sleeping and watched tv with me. Every time she's hungry, she'd run up to my feet. I miss her =( Now I have 4 new turtles and they're all so cute =)

dude, your turtle is soooo cute, everyone always thinks its weird for a turtle to be so interactive, and to have a personality! My RES dosent like being in her tank, she rams her shell in to the glass, and lifts the lid off, and she splashes water everywhere when you start to walk out of the room. She like to sleep in the bathroom, and lives in between my room, the bathroom, and my moms room. She follows us where ever we go,a nd makes sure to be noticed! lOVE TURTLES!!!!!

I love that you can "read" your turtle's body language and know what she wants. I'm guessing all turtles would like to have an interesting environment even if they don't want to be touched by humans :-) They certainly have a way of making their presence known!

All animals have personalities, even reptiles and amphibians, be it good or bad, but people think " ok, its a reptile, its just a pet, give it the basics and its happy!" If you could only see how excited she get when she sees the human foods she likes...and she wont eat food unless its on a spoon or fork...shell get excited and stare at it, and shove her face into it, but she wont eat it until its on a utensil.... i think she knows at least a little bit of human food etiquette! lol
