  • does anyone else hear "it was a good day" (ice cube) instrumentals in tha background ?

  • @Athnamas2 they sampled it, and they nailed it. such a dope song.

  • @barris1024 Ooo for real ..nd yahhhh i love this =)

  • @Athnamas2 which itself is sampled from Footsteps in the Dark by the Isley Brothers which is also who they sampled the voice saying "call me" from

  • Love the sample.

  • yo every time i hear this, i just wanna cop some new kicks, and dickies outfits, some t's and slick my dome back, and go hit tha streets and kibll dem hoes feelins by servin my dose of fly, i haven't done this in so long, i need to get back, i done been gone fa too long, thanxz slum villa.

  • who produced this track? Jay D?

  • @RayCharles444 b.r. gunna

  • awesome

  • whos on the second verse?

  • @cgurney19 elzhi

  • Slum Village is only truly respected by those who the real beauty of the slum. Michigan is slum, it's pimp, fly, money, and dope. Motown produced the most enriching music with vibes hard to resist, sounds like aint shit changed, but niggas in the midwest don't get no play like west coast and east coast niggas, look at twista, chi town nigga, slum villa, mo'town niggas, motor city slum, AKA, Dirty District.

  • Erika G CALL ME!

  • god damnit. why are all the fuckin slum village videos @ 240p ?

    step your game up niggas.

  • gthis song has a little bit of isley bros. flavor:P

  • Slum villl is too dope for most to understand!

Ive been playing their songsssss early 13 years of age 20 still bumpinnn the same tracks RESPECTS!

  • this beat was flipped 100 times better than "Today was a good Day"..

  • slum and dwele are a perfect combination

  • sample chopped way better than the ice cube version

  • Love this joint

  • Top Production!

  • T3 'S VERSE ..OFF THE CHAIN .. BLACK MILK ...ON THE PRODUCTION

  • ice cube used the same for it was a good day

  • @nwaicecube213

I don't wanna be dissin on Cube, but i feel that Slum Village makes better use of the beat than he origanlly did.

  • @sdragon21

i think this beat is better than ice cubes too but ice cube has more rap skills.

i think this makes ice cubes better

  • @nwaicecube213 ice cube hasn't more rap skills than eLZhi from SV but he sure did a classic song with this sample.

  • @rmsg120nsb

dude ur serious ice cube is a G.O.A.T. and elzhi nahh he is not bad but not better then cube never

  • @nwaicecube213 you sound like an idiot right now...cube was dope back then, elzhi keeps it hip hop and re-invented. elzhi all day

  • @nwaicecube213 lyrically and musically elzhi>ice cube, mass appeal ice cube>elzhi.

  • @rmsg120nsb

    maybe lyrically but not musically

  • @nwaicecube213 Elzhi is lightyears ahead of ice cube lyrically... Ice cube is way passed his prime..maybe back in the day u can make the arguement... Elzhi is also alot more rounded as an MC..

  • @MoodMuzikFilez nahh everyone has his own opinion

ok, ice cube changed his style, he is not the old cube but rap skills... only warren g has more rap skills than cube no one else

  • @nwaicecube213 not everyone opinions are right..could Ice-cube remake the greatest hip-hop album all time Illmatic like Elzhi did with his own twist to it? i highly doubt that... thats why only Elzhi is pretty much the only artist worthy of doing it...and he got mad props for it.u look dumb saying Cube is still as nice as he was... dude makes childrens movies now days which is big reason why he's gone down..he barely puts out shit... and ice cube is not that versatile when it comes to rapping...

  • @MoodMuzikFilez ok ice cube is not the old like i said before but sometimes when i hear elzhi rappin i think THIS IS SHIT like concrete eyes. what a dope beat and what a wack rap

  • @nwaicecube213 Elzhi spitts a wack rap on "concrete eyes"? wow u dererve to get ur ears bitten off for what u just said... u hav no idea wat ur talking about.. comin from someone who thinks Cube is the GOAT.. u cant even make the arguement that he is... last i checked Common destroyed Ice Cube when they had beef...

  • @MoodMuzikFilez i dont care of lyrics maybe elzhi is the better lyricist. but flow and voice ice cube is better my opinion.

  • fell in love with a girl in dental class just for this song.. it made her look even more attractive

glad girls love hearing this music

  • LO AMO <3 .. LEJOS MI TEMA FAVORITO .

  • i love the way the sample is chopped very original.

  • This is vintage.

  • ..Love it! :)

  • Slum Village is only underrated to those who have not yet been blessed by their music. From the silky smooth beats and lyrics of Dilla and music production from Baatin and Black Milk, to the lyrics of T3 and Elzhi, S.V. should be a huge part of any self-respecting lover of Hip Hop.

Hip Hop needs S.V. as much as man needs the love of a good woman.

  • @Trojii Well said. You mos def got a pass in The D.

  • @m100p lol, from who? u? i garantee mos people in Detroit dont kno who Slum Village is
