  • are straight piped legal in US I have a 88 ford v8 cat motor needs new exhaust should I consider this straight pipe idea

  • 6inch?

  • loud is good. it means you AND others can enjoy the fantastic sounds produced by your engine. just because something doesnt fit perfectly to your liking doesnt mean you can go and whine and moan to everyone about it. and Volvos are quite nice trucks

  • Driving a Volvo is like getting a blow job from a bloke, it still feels nice, but you dont tell any of your mates

  • I'm from Europe but I totally support when you Americans customize your trucks!

  • what a wast of money get a real truck

  • why would you put straight pipes on a volvo in the first place? Secondly why would put a single on!

  • @hockeysnipes27 single pipe makes more noise

  • Only assholes and Harley Davidson riders take the mufflers off of their vehicles.

No wonder the trucking industry that brings you everything you own, eat, or wear is struggling to survive. It has been demonized by a large number of ordinary law-abiding citizens who become pissed-off because of the NOISE, smoke and poor conduct of a few asshole drivers and owners.

  • @JGMagoo the reason the trucking industry is suffering is because people who know nothing about truck complain because they put out black smoke drive slow and are loud. in reality these trucks now polute very little and how often do ytou have to listen to em other than passing them on the freeway? and people taking mufflers off the trucks isnt a big deal people now days just like to complain and they will find something to complain about no matter what it is. =/

  • @reducedfat11 You just made my point EXACTLY! Black Smoke, Slow, Loud! Look at the new trucks going up a hill on the interstate....almost no smoke at all. The industry has made great strides is this regard. Except on the longest and steepest grades trucks are keeping up with traffic. New trucks from the manufacturers are QUIET. It is only the ass holes that take off the mufflers. I spent 40-years in the truck business! I hate to see stupid people mess it up.

  • @JGMagoo yes the new truck are so unobtrusive that even if they are a little loud its not a big deal. my personal opinion is people need to quit complaining and go about there own buisness. that is unless it truly efects them directly. but now days it really gets me angry when someone complains just because they want to complain

  • @reducedfat11 An organization that I was a member of (The Colorado Motor Carriers Association) spent thousands of dollars and more than 3-years of effort trying to DEFEAT LEGISLATION TO OUTLAW JAKE BRAKES, brought forward by well-meaning hotel and motel operators whose customers were awakened at night by LOUD Jake Brakes.

Fortunately, we were able to DEFEAT this legislation and preserve the use of Jake Brakes which are one of the finest safety devices ever invented!

    Please do your part!

  • @JGMagoo good point =)

  • how much do straight stacks cost? come ooooooooownnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • This would sound so amazing with 8'' pipes!

  • It's ok, but the volvo's in holland, they have an whistle in there truck sound same as daf, scania is a beast with an very very very good sound, they got muscle, and the sound of a scania roars!

  • this is

    AMERICA not europe

  • @peterbiltexd but EUROTRUCK!!!!!

  • does that come with a cummins or volvo engine

  • Sounds sweet, I love volvo's

  • Need some driving videos!!!

  • i agree

  • beautiful sound

  • well wers them peterbilt 379 with 6 inch stacks with an 18 speed 3.308s with a 3406 cat ill run that sum birch you may kick my ass on the flat but ill sound good out pulling your ass on a 6% grade..helloo com in .!!!

  • @jmagic32971 lol

  • To me the VOLVO sounds great even when its stationairy so it should sound awesome when reving up nice vid 5*

  • i always looked up at m pipe, love it, tresure it...i miss it. :(

  • Man that sounds good, only thing missing is someone inside revving it up and letting the jake kick on.

  • good luck on buying yourself b-day presents rofl. Nice pipes though.

  • theres nothing wrong with volvos. i own a '01 volvo vnl64t770 with the 600hp cummins isx + eaton 18speed + 4.10:1 ratio , when im on the highway(any road as a matter of fact) NO one can keep up with me(freightshakers, internationals, petes etc...). to me volvos are very comfortable, very. parts kinda hard to get but so what?do youre thing my brotha. keep truckin!

  • i lik scania's better but volvo's have good pullin power and chug on 4 many years to come

  • Don't upgrade your volvo it's a waste of money

  • no volvos are not nice anyone who likes them ugly things needs there head checked and aint a real trucker

  • See you are a fucking idiot.

  • About a decade ago, a company I know of traded in all of their Petes for brand new 1998 Volvo VNL64Ts with mid-roof sleepers, 435hp Cummins N14s, and Eaton-Fuller 9-speed transmissions.

Once the drivers saw how smooth of a ride it was, they all handed the boss their keys and said "You can have my Pete..."

Ten years later, all of them are still running fine (even with a few of them getting close to a million-and-a-half miles).

Volvos are great trucks, but Peterbilt is still my favorite!

  • btw lol buy more u clamps ! they break off after awhile.

  • 6 inch or 8 i forget. father and I had same pipe on our 96 volvo. I wish we still had it, had to sell it in 05- fuel prices surged, but with the prices now, i really dont know how ya guys do it.

  • You're lucky dude!:D

  • volvos suck get a american truck dum ass

  • Nah, Volvos are nice.

  • 770 isn't the horsepower, it's the model.

  • ay dude 770 hp is it. pretty big power

  • nice dc shoe sticker on the back

  • just how legal is that

  • The turbocharger is considered a muffling device in most states, so it is a non issue in most places.

  • oh im glad i know that but if you drive truck dont you go into other states

  • Yes, that is true, I do. State-wise, it hasn't been a problem. There are some towns (as one I know of in Maryland) has accordances requiring stock sounding exhaust. There are some towns that don't want you to use the engine brake, except in emergencies as well. Stock exhaust or not.

  • yeah i heard about that jake break thing

  • what motor do you have VOLVO VED12D, CUMMINS ISX, N14, or DETROIT DIESEL S60?

  • Loud Pipes save lifes ;)

  • @B422TMack no they dont...they rupture ear drums
