When Maria says the eyes of the Artificial Chaos look sad, we know their sad for the same reason the REAL Chaos was in SA1. Now they've even go berserk just like the real Chaos did when it got all the Chaos Emeralds.

The battle with metal sonic is from Sonic Heroes and besides of Omega's introduction doesn't have anything to with this game the 3 months it's not real he just put it in there to make a story. Maria 1 of the few things he can remember from his past and when Black Doom appears this game begins
