  • oi if you say in the title how to build a crab trap people except you to tell us

  • what guage and seperation is that mesh? Does it bend to make an open box easily? thanks.

  • @cyberpine I work in the industry, it appears to be 12 gauge wire, no it wont bend easily to make an open box without a manual or automatic bending machine to square it off..

  • @dale0038 i was planning on making a crab trap, can you tell me what kind of wire i need to use and where i can get the wire at? thanks

  • @lonbites The company I work for builds crab traps in both 14 and 12 gage wire, 12 being the most popular with customers and we use inch and a half by inch and a half meshes. Since I don't know where your located, the best I can do is tell you to look up Riverdale Mills Corporation, we get all our wire through them and they list their local distributors. Hope I helped you...

  • @dale0038 first off thanks for the fast response! im not looking to make an expert crab trap i just wanted to know where to get the wire so i can attempt to make one lol. I am from Houston, TX and looking at that website there is no local houston one, i guess ill just have to look around, thank you
