I actually haven't beaten the game; the soundtrack is what got me to buy it, so I'm more familiar with the music than anything. That said, I honestly prefer the OST version. The vocal on this one seems to dominate the song in a way that just doesn't sound boss-fightey to me.

played the undubbed version of the game with reincarnation remixes on. All I gotta say is that this music with the battle created one of the most memorable boss fights I've ever had in any J-RPG game. Akira Ishida's(you might recognize him as Gaara in Naruto) voice was just epic whenever he changed his arcana. I still get the chills..

Ok, I hear it now. They axed a lot of the electronic sounds, and added more lead and guitar fill. I guess that's what's making people BAAAW, but it sounds less processed now. The vocals don't sound that much different, but they play in places they didn't before. Also the piano sounds an octave lower or two.
