"when every touch is filled with thoughts of love denied" is such a telling phrase. the lyric is dark of course, and the music re-enforces the mood. this really is a powerful creation. a bit hard to hear, but harder, i think, to have lived it. very well done raz. be well, chuck.

Awesome Raz, You've really found your own unique sound, your songs are immediately identifiable as yours. That is one mark of a great songwriter. Of course every songwriter is inspired to a certain extent but the best ones create their own sound which is a testimony to the uniqueness of every individual person and the ability of a songwriter to express that through music.

I really dig the rapid high hat and the kick drum, along with the Neil Peart-esque fills you add between the progressions. I love when songs can seemleasly switch between forceful and melodic like you did with the chorus. What is just as cool is how you sing more intensely during the more smooth melodic part. nice contrast there.

The piano is fantastic.

I misread your 2nd line as

"that pretty face hides serpent breath"

Which I actually think is a cool line.
