Changes are made to a business over the years, it vital actually. Simply bc people change. Jay did not take anything from Conan that Conan didn't take from Jay. Conan threatened to leave NBC so they asked Jay to retire and let Conan host. Conan's ratings tanked and NBC wants the ad revenue does not care how they get it. So they will try Jay again with hopes to get the show back on top. David Letterman's rating went up and NBC does not like it. Letterman is a washed up Hack but what else is on. Conan was better on his old show.

thanks for posting this, i heard about stern telling conan this. stern figured it out simply by reading the book and notcing jay's habits. and its easy to see that jay is/was a workaholic, and doesnt seem to do much with his wife. can anyone even picture what she looks like?howard was right because he could tell by jay's personality that he wouldnt let go. everyone was just fooled into thinking jay had some integrity, now we know he doesnt.

demise? he has not ever said he was going back to terrestrial radio. that's all speculation. the fact that clear channel desperately wants him back doesn't mean he necessarily is going back.
the show on sirius has never been about being dirty and getting away with everything. it's about how he is allowed to speak as normal adults do every day and not have to hold back for fear of government punishments.
the show is much better in this format than on terrestrial radio.

Jay did not take anything from Conan that Conan didn't take from Jay. Conan threatened to leave NBC so they asked Jay to retire and let Conan host. Conan's ratings tanked and NBC wants the ad revenue does not care how they get it. So they will try Jay again with hopes to get the show back on top. David Letterman's rating went up and NBC does not like it. Letterman is a washed up Hack but what else is on. Conan was better on his old show.

@Bahia82 Why?Maybe, because in 2004 he told he was gonna retire 2009 and hand Tonight Show over to Conan. Then half a year later he wants it back. I like his show, but that was not cool at all. Out of those two, I'm with Conan. And by the way, Jay's ratings weren't that high either, so I guess it's mostly NBC that's got problems, not Conan or Jay as comedians.
You'll see very different ratings in Conan's end when he opens with is new show on Fox or where ever he decides to go.
