@scullyy while i agree many of the words that americans have.... i am reluctant to use invented, possibly pulled out thier arse is more like it, several words are infact brittish in origin. words associated with "rednecks" mostly came from brittish military slang before america was recognized as an independant country. such examples are the phrases "y'all" and "geetar". many words of the "proper" english as you call them are stolen from the french, german and spanish dialects. sucks to be you :P
