@ItsSoulFlys Somebody called jsimp1234 has asked me this question already. You will find the answer to your question if you have a good look through the comments.
I discovered this genre of music just yesterday, and I am absolutely hooked on it. Been on a binge, looking for some to listen to because I love it lol.
Its completely crazy and messes with your mind. I actually create trance music but I am dying to have go at glitch!
What techniques do you use the scratch the CD? Is it just random or do you scratch it in a way that gets that sort of beat? and what did the CD sound like before you scratched it... Dark ambient synths?
Good work, iv research Tone's stuff and thats a bit out there for me but i find this assessable. I want to use in a subtle way for my degree project
Thanks for the comment. I had a little film lying round that had been made with a digital camera. I damaged it using WordPad, opened it with Avidemux and saved the results. I picked out the clips I liked. Afterwards I used trakAxPc to heavily edit the video, applying hix and blur effects. I layered the clips on top of each other and finally threw in the scene of the girl waking up.
Very NICE

very cool idea! Can I ask how you are getting the audio off of the damaged cds? Thanks for posting
jsimp1234 2 years ago
I used an old stereo to play the damaged CD and a computer to record.
