@carryclass Sorry but there is no "labor shotage from health care to construction work". Certainly there is a shortage in certain areas like North Dakota for example. But that is the exception and not the rule. And these are commonly labour positions that require specialized training (ie: you lose your accounting or police officer job of 10 yrs you can't apply your skills to these job openings). For each job opening there are more people fighting to get them.

Gas is expensive, you may have a car payment, insurance, there’s wear & tear on your car, if ur lucky to have one, maybe a storage unit etc. & if you want to move into an apartment, now you’re talking 1st & last month, + a deposit, + an application fee, + rental history dating back several years. If you’re still employed, you’re working just to survive on the streets.

i think a lot of people on foodstamps dont deserve it. I work in an area at a gas station where a lot of people live off of food stamps who smoke a pack of cogarretes or more a day at approx. $5 a pack that is approx $1,825 they waste a year to smoke when they could use that money to buy their groceries. This country is just teaching people to live off the govt..this country is going down to the ground. Our gov't was good but just turned to crap. Am I really proud to say I am American anymore?:(
@oceanxtide But $5 is not what someone in the states can consider to live on if they quit smoking. The cost of cigarettes is almost negligible to what you need to live on. For $5 you couldn't even feed a single person per day in the US. Not much math that needs to be done. In some US areas in the US $1,825 doesn't even cover one single month's rent. Not counting all the other living expenses.
I'm sorry, but these middle class tend to often dig their own ruts by living at or above their means(at the time) just to keep up with the "Jones's". For instance, I knew a couple who's combined income was nearly $100,000 a year, only two kids, yet the wife was caught embezzling money from the Village which she was treasurer of. They went out to eat all the time, vacations, two homes, nice cars, designer clothing/accessories for the kids, etc.. Now they are bound for the trailer park or worse..

Well since his business failed a few years back the shoe’s been on the other foot! He lives with us after suffering a breakdown so I always remind him he’s technically homeless himself. i think a lot of people on foodstamps dont deserve it. I work in an area at a gas station where a lot of people live off of food stamps who smoke a pack of cogarretes or more a day at approx. $5 a pack that is approx $1,825 they waste a year to smoke when they could use that money to buy their groceries. This country is just teaching people to live off the govt..this country is going down to the ground. Our gov't was good but just turned to crap. Am I really proud to say I am American anymore?:(

@oceanxtide But $5 is not what someone in the states can consider to live on if they quit smoking. The cost of cigarettes is almost negligible to what you need to live on. For $5 you couldn't even feed a single person per day in the US. Not much math that needs to be done. In some US areas in the US $1,825 doesn't even cover one single month's rent. Not counting all the other living expenses.

For instance, I knew a couple who's combined income was nearly $100,000 a year, only two kids, yet the wife was caught embezzling money from the Village which she was treasurer of. They went out to eat all the time, vacations, two homes, nice cars, designer clothing/accessories for the kids, etc.. Now they are bound for the trailer park or worse..

My Dad always used to put homeless people down when we were kids, leaning out of the car window to shout “Get a job, losers!” at them.
Well since his business failed a few years back the shoe’s been on the other foot! He lives with us after suffering a breakdown so I always remind him he’s technically homeless himself. Occasionally I emphasise the point by putting him out for the night somewhere random- if Police pick him up I just explain that the Alzheimer’s made him wander off & get lost.

I am now moving. I am getting family members together so we can circle the wagons. Work together, or fall apart alone is the the new motto for America. Better learn to fish, or hunt people. The cities are full of McJobs, but not anything that pays above 20grand a year. My wife and I work full time, and spend nothing, and we still can't make it. @TheVbird420 How do you expect someone living out of their car to start a garden? At the very least you need a quarter acre of land to be able to supply yourself with enough food to survive on. And thats in the warm months. And that's just barely surviving!

the bankers want to increase the number of wars of conquest, but in order to do that massive numbers of americans have to join the military. if a draft is started there will be social unrest and risk of revolution similar to what occured in the late 60's.
so the bankers have their politician puppets vote to end foodstamps which forces poor people who cant find a job to join the military just to eat.
the cutting of food stamps is a stealthy subtle method unlike an overt draft

When they tax the ultra rich to help the poor, they scream communism, socialism, redistribution of wealth. When they tax the poor to pay for wars, they call it patriotic.
Yes, this is a failure of "capitalism". Individual greed is not good. There is no personal profit incentive in helping others. Why would the rich ever want to help the poor? What's in it for them?
Their solution to unemployment is death and slavery. Low wage immigrants, prison labour, or go die in foreign wars of conquest.
