  • I find it's the body builders that have bad form. They are always lifting more weight than they can handle. A common thing I see is when guys work out their triceps they round their back, put their head down because there's just too much resistance. I may bicep curl only 50 lbs but at least I have full range of motion.

  • @ThePantyDroper Yeah it worsens a lot of times as people progress to heavier and heavier weights that they're not accustomed to handling!

  • @CampbellFitness But why is it the guys who are fit and muscular the ones with bad form? You would think having bad form would make building muscle more difficult. Last night I saw a guy at the gym hopping off the seat and using his body weight to pull down the bar on the lateral pull then using the momentum to get it to his chin, unbeleivable!

  • @ThePantyDroper I think that depends. I see planty of fit jacked people using correct form.

  • i want your shoulders

  • @ShitDamnBull Take em, they overpower my chest and bi's sometimes!

  • sick jersey

  • @AdR1aN43 Go Hoyas!

  • wicked vids bro keep em coming

  • @Disturbed420420 Thanks for the comment!

  • As always, keep posting useful info!

  • Thanks.

  • Your shoulders are beast son.

  • @saiyansnake Thanks! DBZ reference in your handle?

  • thanks man....i was putting together my workout for tomorrow and there are so many different exercises. so i was just looking for input. thanks again!!

  • what are some good exercise for building you chest shoulders and tris?? thanks!

  • @lambo5277 I don't think there's any real secret to it. The 3 exercises that have helped me the most are Incline bench press, standing military barbell press and skull crushers.

  • What about not locking out on exercises to keep constant strain on the muscle? Good vid though!

  • @BERGATHLETICS True, some people never lock out and could consider that an exaggerated range of motion as well. There's a fine line in my opinion.

  • @CampbellFitness So... are u supposed 2 lock out or not?.

Great vids u have my eternal support lol

  • @suckyamotha It's Up to you. to me it depends on the exercise, the reps and what you're trying to accomplish.

  • Shoulders llook even more jacked here

  • @avatarcollides2day The jerseys help!

  • Ya ur right bro there is always room for improvement no matter what good video Brandon Keep them coming

  • Short and awesome Big B. Great info.

  • so flat barbell bench to the chest or not hit the chest???????

  • great video as always, keep up the great work

    your boy, Will

  • good videos like always man, keep up the good work!

  • @monstarfitness Thanks!

  • When I started making videos I saw major room for improvement. I dropped the weight on most exercises to correct some of the bad habits. Great Vid man

  • @TheAverageguyfitness Happens to the best of us!

  • you are wright but some peoplw see better gains by using heavy weights and moderate good form , some see gains from keeping the pressure on the muscle . it depends , but my advice for people is to start with perfect ROM and if that fails try new stuff , dont be afraid to experiment and see to what your body responds:D

    good vid man ;)

  • @TheMRamstaff I always agree that it comes down to works best for your body. Just trying to throw out some general tips. I appreciate all the comments you've been leaving, great info in them.

  • i like the videos but the subjects are very generic and the info can be found anywhere.

  • @loves2spooj6969 Yeah I agree with you there, but a lot of my viewers have never been to a gym before, while others are experienced lifters, I just like to cover all my bases. Plus there gets to be some good discussions in the comments. I try to mix up my videos so it's not the same thing. Any suggestions for something you'd like to see?

  • @CampbellFitness id like to see a sample workout programme and the options(eg;flat bench/incline) cus my trainer doesnt work in my gym nemore n he used to giv me new programmes wenever i stopped getting gains.

  • @AwwYaaWakeUpYa I'll put that in the works.

  • @CampbellFitness nothing in specific, but mainly what i see most beginning bodybuilders have is with their diet rather than their weightlifting routine. I think a video about the problems of a lowfat diet would be very interesting to someone who has just started dieting or bodybuilding. Hope this helps!

  • @loves2spooj6969 Helps a ton, thanks!

  • i take pride in my seated calf raise form its impregnable!

  • @blazersfan7 Hahaha

  • i got a question about whey protein. i hear alot of people say take it before you go to bed? why?

  • @rpogue65 Eh some people think you need to feed your body right before bed, I don't necessarily think you have to if you've hit all your macros already

  • @CampbellFitness would it hurt to take it before i/you go to bed???

  • @rpogue65 Nope, again as long as it fits into your daily macros (protein, carbs, fats)

  • Here's a topic my friend is helping me on. Breathing while doing sets. When doing heavy sets I'd always lose my breathing rhythm. First 1-3 would be great but when the heavy load was really taxing me I'd get all F'ed up. He thinks I could lift a lot better if I had a more controlled breathe in and exhale, I agree with him.

  • @Colyers breathing is def very important!

  • I agree with krypt. A short range of motion doesn't necessarily equate to bad form.

  • @LiftingForLife I think it depends on the individual. But generally speaking you'd ideally like a full range of motion.

  • @LiftingForLife agreed. check out Jason Huh's work outs. thats not even close to half range of motion but look at the size of the guy.

  • wtf this guy's so beast.

    great work keep it up

  • @fagaaaa Thanks!

  • ive always wanted to make videos myself but:

    1. filming myself at my gym which 100's of people occupy at a time would make me feel weird

    2. the internet is full of cyberbullies!

  • @MiKill93 Yeah it's one of those things that's a bit awkward at first, but you just got to say F it.

  • @MiKill93: Less people at the gym if you go during the last hour or 2 before they close.

  • @TheUFOeffect

I go to the American Family Fitness chain, I dunno if youve heard of em or not but theyre open 24 hours a day. I guess once i get diesel i wont care as much. Ive only been lifting for a year so maybe next year!

  • @MiKill93: I've been working out for a year also :) I go to Golds gym but soon i will be going to my college's gym. If you workout later im sure it will be less busy. When i had school and work earlier this year and later last year id be at the gym from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM. good times

  • @TheUFOeffect Coming from experience:

    6-10 - Moderately busy

    10-3 - Ghost Town

    3-8 - Packed

    8-10 - Everyone's just about to leave

    10-12 - About 5 people still lifting.

  • @NJnaturalBB: Same here. I haven't been to the gym from 6-10 but the same goes here for 10am to midnight

  • I mean jersey

  • @Recknorfit Ha Yeah I try to mix it up.

  • sweet shirt

  • very good video! very true what u said about how filming helps!

  • Thought you were going to bust out a Tyson impression. LOL

  • @Noyjeetut Ha I would have to work on my high pitch lisp and talk about eating your children.

  • You didn't talk about jerking and such. Those could result in injury and most of us would like to prolong our lifting lifestyle. You only equated bad form with ROM. Sometimes for certain exercises shorter ROM may be beneficial. I do agree though that we should be using full ROM on most exercises. People just want to be lifting heavy weights. Heavy is relative. If you don't control the weight and focus on the contractions, then i guess your workouts wont be effective. Have a nice day Brandon.

  • @krypt5 You make all good points and are stealing all my thunder for my next video on using too heavy of weights!

  • When I go too low on my bench, i can feel a ton of stress on my shoulders(even with tucked elbows), therefore, I go down so that my arms are just below 90 degrees, and then press.

The bar never touches my chest, it gets to within about 1/2-1" of it.

  • @nairb2693 Sometimes it can be tough I agree. You have to know your body limitations.

  • @nairb2693 I do the same thing. I think it is because I have long arms in comparison to my torso. Great for deadlifting though!

  • My friend Colyers and I have found a lot of little tweaks lately in our form since we started filming our workouts. Pro tip clip!

  • @ninjabic Yeah it's really good for analyzing. Glad I'm not the only one that does it!

  • @brayanesc0bar18 Do what I do... wear smaller shirts!

  • good video bro!!!

  • @iheartbooty Nice screen name and quick too. I literally just hit post.
