Her's to the Grandmother I never knew. When my Father was 14 in 1928 his Mother Blanch was placed in an institution for Schizophrenia. My Father never spoke of her until 1980 when my own Mother received a letter that Blanch had passed away in that institution, at age 87. We had always assumed my Father was an orphan. This is a sad example of the stygma of Mental Illness has in our society. Blessings on the lady I never knew.

She was holding up my husband, whom she adored w/ever fiber of her being, which was totally NOT her style but she trusted him completely w/my heart. She had a way of knowing a person w/o needing the words... I know she helped our daughter and her husband-to-be. I'm sure she's responsible for keeping the tears back, as much as possible, as my DH walked our daughter down that aisle. Leave a seat open; he'll be there.

I love this song. It makes me miss my mom. She died three and a half years ago, two days before my daughters birthday. But I know she watches over us each and every day.

I have sat in my car many nights crying thinking about my grandma when she passed away back in the mid 90's:( I miss my grandma, she is a great lady. Thank Goodness, my grandpa remarried, he was so lonely when my grandma passed away:( I was so happy he re-married and he is still alive and happy now:)

As my grand-daughter listened to this song we cried so hard, her first birthday just weeks after her daddy (my son) passed away. She was only 3, she was crying over her daddy missing her b/d party that he promised was going to be the biggest. She looked at the sky and cried out, "I wish u were here daddy to give me my b/d hug. The SKY OPENED UP, (RAIN POURED DOWN A GOOD 5 MINS.) and she yelled, told u all my daddy was coming he just sprinkled tears over us all. This truly happened.
