  • @arand4 did you just say windows install was complicated? how do you install it? with a hammer ?

  • hi how do u know that u have snow leopard

  • I install Windows 7 faster, lol.

Do we really need to watch that same old boring Welcome video thing?

Leopard Looks = Snow Leopard Looks

Leopard inside different than Snow Leopard.

Unlike what we had with XP to Vista to 7, with the visual and inside changes.

    ^_^

  • If you really read a EULA, you are a sad person, lol.

All EULA's are loaded with the same crap, and then some, like Apple says this OS may not be used in an nuclear devices, LMAO.

  • How to install Snow Leopard:

    1) Return computer.

    2) Call your friends and family and explain that you've failed at life.

    3) Smash face on nearest wall until dead.

    Installation complete.

  • @kiashadowwave fuck you and die with the boringness of windows 7....

  • I had Windows 98, XP and now I'm on a Vista but I'll switch to a Mac!!!

  • People still buy Macs after 25 years of a market share that never exceeded 5% world wide? Wow, I'm amazed.

  • @02stv

As of April 2010, Windows XP, VIsta, and 7 total 89% of the Operating System market share. Linux averages around 3.5%, and Mac OS equals around 4.5%.

Terrible market share, even given the 33% growth of Mac sales since last year. Further proof that for every Macintosh computer sold, 1000 PCs are sold. There simply is not other way to look at it.

  • 1:25 lol

    heres the dick

  • watch?v=76VMehuEGrs for window 8 preview

  • can i use this for pc and how much??? thx

  • is there two versions of Snow Leopard, for MacBook and MacBook Pro, or is there just one? because i wanna make sure that i buy the right one.

  • @GUnit4lifeNiggaz Nah snow leopard is the same on all macs so don't worry. Every mac also comes with iLife installed aswell

  • @iTat1000 well, my friend tried to install it on my macbook, but he said he couldn`t, because his version of snow leopard only works on macbook pro

  • @GUnit4lifeNiggaz Did he use a restore disc for the Macbook Pro

  • @iTat1000 i think he used a restore disc on my macbook, maybe he just needs to install the snow leopard upgrade, and not the restore disc?

  • @GUnit4lifeNiggaz Yeh he should use the Upgrade version to install Snow Leopard not a restore disc

  • @iTat1000 okay, thanks :)

  • how much is snow leopard???

  • @kickassgta4 the animal, or the OS?

  • nevermind i already have it in my macbbook

  • @cameraking360

    Hahaha!

  • Dude its been 6 months and you still havent done a video on snow leopard features compared to windows 7. I have win7 on my laptop and osx 10.5 on my macpro but interested on your take.

    i have quick question...

i just got my brand new mac pro tower

but it has mac os x 10.5.8 so they sent me the disks one of these are the snow leopard 10.6 the latest version as you know so i just installed it ...

so my question can i install any other machine ? or it's just for one?

  • @ Dnewb09 just don't say anything!!

    Vista sucks a lot more!!

    So just shut up!

  • Great vid jon. Please can you tell me if it works on windows vista or xp. Thank you

  • whoa dude. dont sing

  • i wonder when apple with change the horrible looking 80ish gui on their OS's

  • U R TONE DEFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey what camera do you use. Jon

  • Every OS has there own advantages and disadvatages.. No virus in mac? not really.. i have a mac and sometimes a program crashed on it thats y i need to go to the terminal to force quit it.. its only that the mac becomes very lucky from the hackers of not targetting it. Most of the hackers knows PC better and not much in mac that's y they say its virus free.

  • u know y there's no virus in mac? coz most of the people does not know its system much unlike windows who is at first since ur childhood opens the first computer in windows and not mac. that's y people thinking that mac os is a lot complicated than using windows. if vice versa that the mac would out on the market first than windows.. mac will become the most target of those hackers!!!

  • كس امك

  • It doesn't look like Snow Leopard did anything.

  • -_-

  • do i nedd a apple computer to download snow leopard osx

  • is Mac os better then windows ?

    If so please explain.

  • they both have their advantages, if ur worried about having the best of either just dual boot with the mac software now it lets u run them both np

  • no!!!!!

Mac + =works well, nice, no viruses, etc.

Mac - =Expensive, not so much applications for it

Linux + =works better than windows, nice, no viruses, free

Linux - =is still in "beta", not so much applicaions for it

Windows + =many applications for it, works OK, Cheap

Windows - =Viruses, security is bad, looks ugly, many problems, OS installation is complicated, so many drivers to search after OS installation, etc. didn't want to write down all negative stuff about windows.

  • @arand4 yeah and that white and gray looks so nice while windows is blue red yellow orange ECT PS is is called virus protection software it is better than paying $2000 for a computer

  • @arand4 lol... Linux is still in Beta :S ? when was the last time you tried Linux ?

  • @drs99wingzero today and Linux does not have a perfectly finnished Operating system but still is better than Windows, I have Ubuntu which is the most advanced Linux and I have some problems with it but not as much problems than with Windows or Mac, where I never had a problem.

  • @arand4 a small correction, Ubuntu is NOT the most advanced Linux... its aimed at general public... if you really want to see what Linux can achieve try Gentoo...! Or even look at Fedora (based on Red hat) or OpenSuse (based on SLES)!

Also, if your talking about drivers ...etc! This is not a problem with the OS but rather the Manf. who doesn't provide Driver for Linux!

Also what problems are you facing?

  • @arand4 Installation is Complicated... ? its a point and click... how hard is that ? if your are connected to the Internet, Windows will Find the appropriate drivers for you, unless they are customized hardware (say a card reader...etc)

Your negative points regarding Windows, well they are all USER problem and not OS problems .... if you use your system right you wouldn't get those problems.. And lets not forget Windows 7 is more secure most OS including Mac OS X (not including Linux/Unix)

  • @drs99wingzero When I say its more secure, I mean when you do a fresh installation (so factory default)!

  • @arand4 that´s it... thanks

  • @arand4 Not the best WIN/MAC/LINUX comparison. MAC is overpriced trash and Linux is a better working FREE version of it pretty much.. Windows is a cheap very universal well secured O.S. and the largest target to hackers. Viruses can be applied to any of these choices but Windows is the biggest and most known so it makes since their are more, which is why their are typically more security measures in Windows. Linux is best the best choice in most cases. Then Windows especially for Gamers.

  • @arand4 Your stupid. You've clearly never used Windows.

  • @JoeyJoeJoe5000 Never used Windows?????? I'm Sick and Tired of Windows!!!!!!!!

I allready had windows 95, 98, XP, and 7 and I hate them all, Mac OS and Linux are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @arand4 Windows looks bad?

Compared to OS X, Windows is awesome.

  • @arand4 windows 98 what about windows 7?

  • @arand4 its true. i hope theres someone will make a combined mac and windows +.

  • @arand4 I've used quite a few Macs, and to be honest they aren't half as stable as you all say it is. I have seen 2 Kernel panics in the last 2 years and hundreds of episodes of SBBODs between, this is between a number of Macs so it isn't like 1 has some issues. The last time I got a BSOD that wasn't the hardware's fault (overclocking instability) was early 2008, I have gotten a 'not responding' window about 10 times since early 2009 when I first got windows 7. Win 7 x64 defines stable.

  • @arand4 Linux is a mixed bag, if you like the feel of linux OSs and know how to customize them to your personal needs and preferences it's awesome. If your technically illiterate, it's not too good. It's also free for the most part so it doesn't hurt to try it out to see if you like it or not, unlike windows or Mac which cost money to buy the licenses(windows) or over-priced hardware(Mac).

Windows 7 x64 is the most secure OS, but also the most targeted. OSX is the opposite. It evens out.

  • @arand4 it depends on what you want from an OS...many things you said aren't correct btw. Windows isn't cheap at all for a start.

  • @arand4 but an upgrade from leopard to snow leopard only cost $30

  • @arand4 windows 7. suck it.

  • @arand4 oh yeah and also. windows security isnt bad. its just theres a lot more viruses out there for it because it has the leading market share. FYI mac os x is the easiest os to hack.

  • @arand4 besides that windows supports a lot of games

  • @slizzlp that's the only reason why I use Windows

  • @arand4 But the Mac OS fullversion costs only about 120 bucks and for this you only would get a OEM version of windows! The fullversion of windows costs 300 bucks or so ?!

  • @arand4 spot on mate 8-)

  • @arand4 not realy, don't agree a bit with you, how about one iseau of mac and linux no directx or you forgot so stick with your open-gl. Windows is still the only one that is difrent, comparing linux, mac and solaris they all use terminal top-side bar, but when they were first build, I mean the very first versions, they all been inspired from windows, I think that evreyoane knows that the first developers of mac were hakers that needed to hack many pc & sistems to realise the first mac machine.

  • @KEEVVY did you know why Windows Media Player works pretty fine?

its because Microsoft hacked into quicktime that worked much better than Windows Media Player that time, so don't only acccuse Apple for robbing Source Code, Microsoft did it allso, and do you know why Apple doesn't use the Bottom bar anymore? It's because they improvet the bar and put it at the top, Windows still has its bar on the bottom since years and never really improved it.

  • Respond to this video... oh and Direct X? c'mon you can play games perfectly on mac just by installing Steam on it and all the games that work good on Windows work the same way or better on mac. And continue replying to my comments saying that windows is better but I continue to prove you wrong

  • @arand4 n00b. mac plusses are that it is a native operating system. the reason it costs so much more is that windows is a program to type codes through clicks. when you click in windows, the computer quickly uses MS-DOS to type out a code that opens that file. that's why you get freezes. macs operating system is the operating system, not a program to run code. when you click something on a mac, it opens right up, no codes. if you use an old mac they suck though. im still pro pc but macs own

  • @arand4 wow stupid i have windows 7 premium now!It works perfectly Dumb stupid noob linux and macs suck you do too!

  • @arand4 F**k You Damn it...Cee Lo Green - F**K YOU

  • @arand4 Mac negatives are the least, along with linux, but windows negatives could be a synonym for friggin humongous.

  • @arand4 Im sorry sir but linux is one big piece of shit.

  • @SMGDUDE3017 I'm sorry sir but you don't know shit about computers then.

  • @arand4 PART 1 um yes i do im on my schools network, Ive been using computers for at least 6 to 5 years, I was marked best on a mac in my class with final cut pro and iMovie, and garageband, I have experience with all 3 operating systems Windows, iOS, and poor poor linux and if you knew your shit right ubuntu is part of linux and i dont know if you have used that but that is terrible windows is not bad you can buy security to block viruses lookiing ugly is your personal opinion, installastion

  • @SMGDUDE3017 Part 1 well I use computers them more time than you, I had Windows 95, 98, xp, Vista and 7, I also had allot of different Linux OS's , Kubuntu, Ubuntu, Open Suse, and others that I can't remember anymore, and I also had Mac OS computers like an old Power Mac with Mac OS X Tiger on which I used Final Cut Pro alot and iMovie and Photoshop which I still use alot.

  • @SMGDUDE3017 Part 2 I also had the opportunity to use an iMac with OSX Leopard (sadly no Snow Leopard) for several weeks. so I pretty much used every operating system out there, not counting the thousands of Linux. and I love Linux, especially Ubuntu, the only reason I don't use Ubuntu is that I Like to play games that only exist for Windows.

I know what I'm talking about

  • @arand4 thats wonderful that you know what your talking about cause i do to and also ubuntu is bad but I do agree about other linux operating are indeed very good for ex kubuntu is very nice.

  • @arand4 PART 2 installation is not complicated, again another opinion , wtf are you talking about I never have to download drivers, and dont throw the ETC TOO MANY THINGS TO WRITE ABOUT no its that there is hardly any problems.

  • @SMGDUDE3017 well it was complicated for me in the beginning but its veeerryy ease now for me

  • @arand4 Dude... Sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about. Windows (Especially WIndows 7) looks a hell of a lot better than OS X, and most Linux distros (without Compiz, etc). The OS installation is NOT complicated, actually it's a tiny bit simpler than OSX and most Linux distros. Driver support is better than in Linux, and drivers are non-existent in OS X because it only runs on Macs - While in Windows 7 and Vista, it's automatic.

Also.. HOW did you come up with Linux "Beta"? >_<

  • you get no viruses with mac, enough said.

  • Mac/Linux > Windows

I'm not gonna say which is better, mac or linux, because people usually have there own opinion, but windows sucks.

  • No windows is better. Linux is trash and OS X has compatibility problems.

  • WTF?????????????????? do you know something about computers????????????????? since when is Linux Trash its 1000 times better than windows and mac is 1000000 times better tham windows, the only reason why people have windows is because microsoft knows how to make money and because most of he software is for Windows, but now about security, linux and mac they don't have any viruses and if there are viruses for those OS's then they are very hard to find,!! then Mac works much better than Windows.

  • You are a fool. Linux is garbage.

Viruses? Is that all you got? Linux has a major buffer overflow problem but Windows and OS X have had this fixed for a long ass time. You could fix that overflow problem if you want to spend hours in TTY1 recompiling your kernel with the patch for it. Srsly gtfo.

  • and you can't read, i sad that linux was still "beta"!!!!!!!!!!!

  • linux @ FUCK

  • Its because their are more people out there using Windows PC than Mac, Windows is the OS where hackers/virus creators first learned their craft, thats one of the reasons why PCs get viruses and get hacked more often. Another reason why is most corporate businesses use PCs which is a big target for hackers and viruses. I would say only 20% of the country uses a Mac and most these owners are in design studios which makes them a smaller target for hackers and viruses.

  • why do people make that giant mistake to say that windows is PC, no Operating system is a PC, a PC is the machine where the OS runs on, PC = Personal Computer.

    PC = Windows Noooooooo

PC = Mac or linux noooooo

    PC = Personal Computer Yeeeeesss

so you people, not only Kellsg101, don't make this mistake.

BTW: your idea is completly right.

What OS do you Have (if more than on, tell them and say the one that you use more)?

  • of course no question, it hasn't got viruses, works better, is nicer lol,

let me say it diferent. Windows is the worst shit that happend, even Linux is better than windows, not only because it's free, it allso works better.

But still Mac vs Windows Winner Looser

PS. I had Windows on my computer but then I uninstalled-it and installed Ubuntu and Mac OS X Leopard as Dual Boot

  • yes but when you installl mac on pc 1 its illegal and 2 the drivers dont exsit for your hardware

  • drivers don't exist for your hardware?????

    have you allready tryed it?

there is a bunch of drivers that come with the illegal instalation to choose. about 20 graphic card drivers, about 10 chipset drivers, etc.

and mac also runs normaly on a PC, PC is Personal computer, and btw, you can install a legal version of Mac on non-mac computers, just buy a mac installation DVD, install a bootloader, and you are ready to go. I've seen many people that did it and it worked.

  • what password do you need to enter in the installation? user password?

  • yes

  • Apple is just using file compression - so it just looks as if there is increased HDD space.

  • Thanks!

  • Awesome vocals, gave me a stiffy even.

  • Can you use the SAME INSTALL DVD on MULTIPLE MACs?

  • This snow leopard gave me 16 gb back it's awesome

  • ur such a dork! lol

  • "nerd", "geek" and "dork" are compliments to me, don't think people are going to take it as an offence.

  • it wasnt supposed to be an offense, just a joke, apparently a bad one. :-)

  • I have a question, if i install snow leopard, i bought it, do all my files and programms from my pc will be not there? Do i have to do a backup? thx

  • yeah everything will get deleted and it might not work because you have a pc not a mac

  • wrong, it can only wipe the hard rive sometimes its just pot luck. its reccomended by apple not made compulsary.

  • Should I install the rosetta??

  • do you loose all your files when installing snow leopard. I konw its a good idea to backup first but is that beecause you have to put everything back on?

  • not that i agree with you 100%... you should get a .iso file (thats what i get with linux :p) and you need to use a burner like isorecorder you than want to choose a low burning speed not to low or it might not work and same too high and it wont work. after that pop the cd in reboot and see if you can boot. again i use linux i have only messed with my old mac for maybe 2-3 months so things might not be the same.

  • Snow leopard is for Macs. Get Windows 7 for your PC. Your damage your computer, or best case senario, nothing happens.

  • but also i downloaded windows home premium for my old xp tower n that didnt work either all computers r gay lol

  • just put the disc in a click thru a few install menus... do we need a video to show how to do this? You shouldn't even have a computer in the first place if you can't find your disc drive or know how to use a mouse.

  • how much is it?

  • upgrade is $29

  • i downloaded snow leopard and now my internet connection doesnt work; itunes and safari are useless, along with ichat too wtf

  • hey guys i got snow leopard but no pack ups! should i install anyway or is it taboo to install without backups

  • DOESN'T REALLY SAVE YOU HARD DRIVE SPACE, IT JUST RECALCULATES IT IN BASE TEN INSTEAD OF BASE 2 (BINARY), MAKING IT LOOK LIKE MORE.

Apple is again taking advantage of the fact that their target audience knows nothing about computers. you can see the evidence in the video. watch his hard drive capacity as well as its used space. His hard drive didn't magically gain 21 gigs of capacity. The value was recalculated in Base 10, the amount that its advertised at. same amount of space, different math.

  • It does save some anyway because it does not install tons of printer drivers and there is some other stuff going on. Even if you calculate if with base 2 it does save you 4-6 GB.

  • Snow Leopard gave me back 40 gigs!!! NO JOKE!

    I have a 24" iMac. So great!

  • It doesn't really give you back much space at all, it just recalculates your hard drive space in base ten, as opposed to the normal base 2 (binary). It says you have more space, but its still the same.

This is the same reason that if you buy a 500 gig hard drive, the computer only says there is 450 gigs or something like that. Snow Leopard will show a 500 gig hard drive (really about 450), as having 500.

Notice that his Hard drive capacity increased at the same rate as his used space.

  • ur using an imac????!??!?! me 2!!!

  • Thanks so much! I'm getting Snow Leopard soon, so this will help a lot for a Mac noob like me!

  • you can upgrade at your own risk, but on the off chance something goes wrong you could lose everything. You should really look into getting a backup drive even if you don't upgrade.

  • 6 hours to install windows 7? You need a better computer.

  • my install took 4.5 min. i timed it after watching this vid

  • Man i wish i had a expensive computer and camera, boy would that rock. Man i am greedy!!! >_>

  • lol, "and it looks.... exactly the same"

  • Hey, I'm a PC

May I ask Mac WHAT THE FUCK IS NEW? Yeah, exacly nothing fucking RIP OFF

  • haha little hater

  • Upgrading to Snow Leopard will save space on your hard drive and help your mac run faster. It's more of an internal update rather than a full system overhaul. Plus the convenience of not using a pc.

  • u have no idea wat ur saying.

  • @dave2000t You do realise 90% of the things changed in an OS aren't visible, right? Ah what the hell, I'm wasting my time. You're an idiot.

  • looks exactly the same... awesome.

  • its better than windows 7 it took me 6 hours to install windows 7

  • windows 7 it took me 6 hours to install windows 7? i don't think so you just talk like bullshit way. i had installed for windows 7 it's took an hour that's all.

  • What's Snow Leopard?

  • The new mac operating system..how could you watch this and not know..?

  • I'm a PC guy. x) Brand new to apple. Even though I have an iPod touch.

  • Main screen was scary

  • ima PC, and I have no idea why I just watched this, lol! Nice vid though

  • its not necessary to back up your files before installation.. i didnt do any of that and it didnt crash er anythin.. thats another thing apple fixed..

  • lol the singing...

  • is snow leopard any good?

  • ha nice singing

  • can someone answer why create a back up? I don't get it.

  • if u backup something on your computer onto a seperate disc thingy, its so if ur computer crashes (which it will eventually), you dont lose everything on your computer.

dont quote me though cuz im definitely not an expert

  • how many gigs should i use to make a back up?

  • Depends on what you want to backup. if just files and docs, as much as you need for that. if also applications and full system configurations, your simplest option is using time machine. Or install a backup application and make a fully bootable clone (copy) of your HD. Like the name suggests, it's an exact copy, so you'll need as many gigs as you're currently using.

  • So incase something happens you can restore the files

  • Thanks

  • are you using like mac mini?

  • after I installed snow leopard I got 23 gb of hardrive space back
