  • Why so called creatures = Pakistanis need to comment on every India related Video....... Look up...your country is almost finished.....having its last breaths on US feeded Dollars......

    Jai HInd.....India Rocks,.....

  • Why you have to be so lame and give a war-mongering comment on this peaceful comment section.

Peace brother, I had no intention to hurt your feelings.

  • Because dear,,.....It is the consequence of the comment you have posted about Indian Trains..??? Have you ever been to India? There is the biggest Rail network and qualities of Trains ranging from say level 1 tp level 10 and this trains is just level 5......and as per you...this is not even the best we have....so before comment..see the truth in what yo say...Do I make any comment about Pakistani Trains? Enjoy

  • But ya brother..I like the way you replied....I appreciate..:") no worries...enjoy...visit India

  • No it doesn't, and I say that this as an Indian. I am very disappointed in a lot of India's current policies in terms of conservation.

  • Amara Karan is beautiful.

  • i miss going to India...when i left New Delhi a part of me was left behind...so now i have the reason to come back and be whole again...

  • Being a Pakistani, I know trains in this region aren't as good as shown in the movie. But the movie was great and this experience is just worth it for all you westernized souls. lol.

    Love this song though.

  • Oh my God, i love this song soooo much. Indian music is just makes everything placid.

  • @Bagmen3 listen to julian lynch. its not legit indian music, but its a good adaptation of indian music

  • The trains are part of the experience. Just imagine: a place where all your senses are engaged at the same time and every day is extraordinary. I recommend it.

  • This song and a cup of Assam tea = total relaxation

  • i did that yesterday and i swear i transcended samsara...

  • @Doobert you left out the handjob

  • buenisima peli, y ademas actores, y bueno la musica me encanto

  • this music makes me feel so relaxed.

it makes me want to ride the train through india

  • I don't think riding a train through india will be relaxing.

  • lol. probably not, but i think it could be fun.

  • fun yes and probably interesting.

my mum has recently fallen in love with india and won't shut up about it as much as she likes india she won't go on the trains, too insane for her liking.

  • Then what part of India is she in love with? The touristy aspect? Trains are the way to go. All types of people are on it, and those are the people that make up India.

  • even if i hadnt heard this music i would have taken the train ride through india! haha

  • this song is actually the title music from the Merchant-Ivory film "Bombay Talkies"

  • when we all leave earth we all go to one place, that is a ending of the movie

  • now this is what i miss! an actual soundtrack to a movie without sweet home alabama on it. when did it stop being cool to have original soundtracks someone tell me WHY!!!

  • thats so funny you mention sweet home alabama. I attend the University of Alabama and I'm probably the only person that doesnt care for that song but digs this one :)

  • I love this song, and I love this film =)

Would love to go to India. One of the few places I want to see in my lifetime~

  • No you wouldn't. Better scratch that list down to a couple of places.

  • Any reason why?

  • good song!!!!

  • sweet song!

  • love to go to India...again...

Rajasthan, where most of the movie was shot...omg, its damn beautiful....

  • this movie is feel good therapy.i was trying to figure out the bill murray part at the beginning and then it donned on me that he was their father. he missed the train because he had died.

  • I didn't even think about that!! Thanks

  • i just finished watching the movie for the 100th time and i never thought about it. makes sense though!

  • What evidence do you have of Murray being the boys' father? Please explain.

  • sorry, but no way. the point of bill murray was to add comic relief. oh, and the dad died a year before the train trip... so, good idea, but i don't think so, sorry. :/

  • @saveover23 really? you think so? i thought he was just a random business man....hmmm interesting

  • @saveover23 mmm u know what i think it was? i think the son that was running realized he was like his father, always late and stuff. He kinda saw him as a refflection. Same happens with owen wilson and her mom. But it´s my opinion, it´s just... oh boy, i love that movie. Interpretations make it better.

  • @saveover23 whoa, I didn't catch that....cool!

  • @saveover23 That makes sense, because the next time we see him, he's on the train; at peace, because his wife and their sons finally came to peace with each other.

  • @saveover23 ...what?

  • Comment removed

  • @saveover23 and its significant that its Peter, Adrien Brody's character. then still in slow mo it shows the indian boy standing on the back of the train, significant of the boy Peter tries to save in the river. He also dies. Just found out Schwartzman helped write this movie- cool stuff.

  • i am obsessed with this song

  • I love this movie.

  • I cant stop listening its addicting... Such a wonderful song to wake up to :)

  • if only the weather in india was anything these guys make it out to be.............i am an indian.........I LOVE MY COUNTRY.......but FUCK ITS HOT

  • I agree..I think the soundtrack is better than the film..but it was still decent.

  • I love this tune my ansestral india that i will see one day

  • i don't get the movie why did the mother disappeared

  • I believe that she had a spiritual transformation and decided to become a nun, forcing her to leave her marriage and family. When her ex husband dies, she doesn't come because her work helping needy people in India was greater than attending the funeral of her estranged husband. She leaves the three boys that morning because in Christian thought, loving God should go above any family or earthly thing.

  • That was her excuse, in reality she was running away

  • The perception of why she was running away is the question. Yes she probably didn't see her duties as a housewife, a mother, to be what she envisioned her life to be. In a search for something 'greater,' she found religion. When the boys find her in India, even then she continues to 'run away' from them. This soundtrack is great btw.

  • excellent soundtrack, thank you.

  • this ws a gud movie.....i don y it din't gt much recognition.......owen n his bros wer awesme.........

  • I recommend 'The Darjeeling Ltd'. It's a real feel good movie.

  • @inopioveritas Wes Anderson just ROCKS!

  • @inopioveritas Why Do You Capitalise The First Letter Of Every Word?

  • @Ichvyenichalster ----hey look lady.he wrote that while he was in a hurry. also CAPITALIZE is spelled with a Z. do'nt you think you should have your s--- together before you jump on someone's back. WHY DO YOU EVEN FN CARE

  • @MsLePuss using an S in capitalise is the British spelling

  • @joseykid i dun knot live in no British cuntry. i liv here in usa in da ozarks. i burth many babees from mi woomb heer. if u dun wan to tok god tung. den go liv in thit British cuntry. if u dun mayk it up.

  • This clip is itself title music from another movie, the 1970 Merchant Ivory production Bombay Talkie, music by Shankar Jaikishan, label Saregama I believe.

Shankar Jaikishan is not an individual but a team of composers, Shankarsingh Raghuwanshi and Jaikishan Dayabhai Panchal.

I would like to buy the CD soundtrack for Bombay Talkie. I have searched the Internet quite a bit including web sites in India but have had no luck.
