  • BMW is awesome they aren't afraid of showing their car take a beating lol

  • e38 still looks fresh in this film. :D

  • Besides "Star" I think this is my favorite one. Learned a lot from this one, use many techniques from here on my short film "The Handover". Just wish I had a stunt driver and a few spare BMW's :)

  • wish these were posted HD

  • This short film is better than a lot of full-length feature films...

  • @PowDaFuture that's what she said.

  • Just one problem with this car .. :D if he push brake and gas the car is slowing down realy fast :D next time use clutch while breaking :D

  • @Boss302cui *pushes the brakes *braking and it's an automatic..... YOU FAIL

  • @nhrachevelle Its can ben an automatic because is there a third pedal .. you can see it in 3:37 .. am not looser :D

  • @Boss302cui That is actually the parking brake pedal. Pretty visible and looks like a miniature clutch pedal, especially when engaged.

  • like this if this video makes you want to buy a bmw now!!!!!

  • @neerredd This video back in the day made me buy that car although I got the 740il!

  • Every time I watch this I get a little pissed, because at the end he didn't pay him much. He only gave him a couple of hundreds. which in real life wouldn't even be enough to fix the paint on a bmw

  • german engineering, M3 Owner

  • 13 women watched this video.

  • @nnamssorxela chhhyeahhh right, two words Clive Owen

  • @nnamssorxela dude, your comment made my LOL

  • thomas milian

  • 2:02 LOVE THE FORCE !

  • Love these films. I made a cheesy version of one of these, LOL

    check out my vids.

  • wReally van had no chances with bmw accellarating i didn,t like that moment

  • Is that ....automatic/tiptronic? also known as a Justin Bieber transmission? lol why is that van keeping up?

  • It's fun

  • R u people fucking stupid some people drive their cars hard because

  • Not bad!

  • BMW

  • who care about the cars loosers...,, the films are this real prize...

  • congratulations BMW. you have successfully demonstrated that your top of the line luxury 7series is faster than a Ford Econovan

  • ...and then he forgot not to flush.

  • I used to have a 1995 730i, I decided to change it as it was getting on in years, I searched and drove numerous cars to try to capture the feeling I had when I drove my 730, I finally decided on the car to replace it!! It was the car you see in this film a 2001 740 sport, more grunt, fantastic handling, more smiles per miles.

Looks like I am stuck with the best car in the world!! the E38 I thank you!!

  • Was this steptronic as shitty as then Audi's (Porsche's) tiptronic in the sense that it won't allow you to shift down above a certain RPM and conversely for shifting up?

My question is does that steptronic transmission allow for a freer gear shifting than the tiptronic?

  • Goodness. the passenger had his seatbelts buckled wrongly! 3:07

  • @BMWrocksalltheway if it was like my euro e34 tiss the same way, only bm i owned, am looking at an e 38, while this doesn't help if it's a good car or not, it does prove it's a fecking lovely looking car

  • @BMWrocksallthewayBMW E38s seat belts go like that

  • Comment removed

  • the old man lol so funny lol LOL

  • i like the engines´s sound, it´s like music for my ears

  • How come the airbags never deployed when van rammed into the back of the BMW?

Is this a SAFE car? Hehehe...

  • Because rape occured HAHAHAHA MOTHERFUCKER SLUT ANAL PORN!!!!!

  • I fuckin love bmw. My first bimmer was an 89 750il and it was back in 05 (highschool days) and boy was i smokin ricers on the freeway! Ever since then ive been a bimmerhead. bmw forever!

  • I love these films. I kept up with the whole series when they first came out.

  • 7 series Bmw's haul ass!

  • anyone notice the clutch pedal in the automatic transmission?

  • i think thats the parking brake

  • @rangerangeboy at 3:37 he pushed a brake pedal and a mysterious clutch pedal. he doesn't depress a parking brake.

  • Depending on how much that car is worth the money the driver gets in the end even if 100 bills US couldnt buy a new one, so the whole story is completely fucked.

and changing the internet forever is a load of horse shit with 278801 views you stupid cunts

    awesome cinematography and stunts regardless

  • @schnapperdelahray lol.. you are a dumbass

  • @TheGavio93

The 7series(E38) has no real handbrake(just the release is worked by hand)

its in deed a parking brake pedal, nothing like a clutch

  • The BMW films were a direct result of the movie Ronin. And the transporter was a direct result of the BMW films. When these films came out they had the making of this film and they state Ronin as the inspiration. I believe this is the last film that John Frankenheimer made before he died.

  • original transporter, - clive owen. he and these short movies are much better than the 2002 movie "the transporter".

  • both feet on brake on 4:26.

  • I have a piece of that car.. I worked at BMW of the Hamptons and they had this car there for a promo thing for BMW films. The bullet holes in the glass are just faked with clear silicone, the passenger front door was hanging off the car and held on with the seatbelt. I stole the towhook cover off the car, I still have it somewhere

  • this is a 740i with the sport package that had a steptronic transmission. Its like a automatic without a clutch you can shift, push up/forward on the shifter for a higher gear and pull down/back for a lower gear

  • ah the conventions of media are changing

    ...

    adcreep

  • this is a 2001 740i its this and the 2000 that has the M package

  • e38 740i to be more specific

  • love that car

  • I would love to drive a car with bullet holes ,would be sooo cool!

  • hehehehs speed holes... :D or you can tell your mom it was road rocks LMFAO

  • Do you think what he got from the old man is enough to fix the car?

  • prolly like 10k

  • Ambush, here comes trouble

  • woops i mean all auto cars hav extra wide brake pedal and the reference to 4.26 is that sum1 said hes placing a foot on the clutch and brake, but hes putting both feet on the brake

  • all these people saying its manual its not, sum1 said look at 4.26 for a spilt second u see him press both feet onto an extra wide brake pedal which all manual cars hav and u can see the raised emergency/park brake beside it that looks like a clutch, my dad has a 1996 740i it doesnt hav this semi-auto. wel in new zealand we call it tiptronic dont ask y, very cool film tho

  • Great great great great great

  • lol (up)

  • i remeber eeing this when I was little nightmare more weeks!

  • Stay of the drugs, homey

  • whats the tittle of the movie?

  • the hire

  • i love bmw

  • great films, but as far as advertising goes, it is a bum point when the van has no trouble keeping up with the sporty sedan.

  • Van GTR?

Nevermind that, it absorbs a load of machine gun fire to the engine bay and keeps running as if nothing happened...

    Just enjoy it.

  • lmfao ford econoline vs 740I=FAIL

  • yeah, what a shame. Ford must have the Kenne Bell twin-screw supercharged engine with over 725 hp lol

  • Wheres the eighth film-cant find it

  • he keeps hitting the gas when he hits the brake, if thats suppose to look like heel-toe it sucks

  • No he's hitting the clutch when he hits the brake.

  • I don't want to be a smart ass but its the gas

  • No. It is supposed that he is pressing the brake in a manual transmission vehicle, therefore, there's the cluthc at the left.

But when he changes gears, you see the stick is from an automatic transmission.

    Talk about coherence!

  • Its aun automatic, he hits the brake pedal (wich is extra wide) and in automatic BMWs you can change gears for yourself in semi-auto mode , and the left pedal in the automatic 7 series is the handbrake for parking..

  • You can?

    How?

    I have a 1998 BMW 528i

any else tricks i may not know?

  • It depends on the gearbox .. not all automatic gearboxes had the semi function ..but the top range definitivily had .. In the lever there must be a sign that says sport or something and there must be ( + / - ) or ( /\ / V ) signs .. normally is moving the stick tot he semi position and there its moving up/down the stick to change gears.. But i dont know if yours have it..

  • yeah, must be the gas, cuz its an automatic, there is no clutch

  • i just watched that part again. looks like he's just hitting the brake with both feet.

  • I guess Clive Owen is the new Burt Reynolds. Right on.

  • 1:57 is the f-ing ownage!!

  • I LOVE FREINKENHIEMER'S FILMS!!!!!!

  • Mr Clive Owen ladies and gents!

  • lol short film that inspired luc besson to make "The Transporter", cool:P

  • The original "The Transporter" came before this series. Both are excellent.

  • this is my favorite one

  • have you seen ronin? theres a bmw car chase scene and the camera angles is just like the video! omg!!! bmw is awesome!!!

  • the 740 in america doesnt come in a manual

  • the car's an automatic, it shows the gearbox at 3.47.

you must have got confused when he knocked it into sport.

  • It some parts they have it as a manual, and they did sell manual 7ers overseas.

Check out the split second at 4:26 for instance, you can see him take his foot off the gas and depress the clutch and the brake pedal.

  • The left pedal here is the handbrake.. this one is an automatic, when he changes gears he just set the gearbox to sport to use the semi-auto function

  • 1st car! 5 star

  • nice car but cost expensive

  • there under $10,000 now. I own one.

  • this is an edited version. in the original, the diamonds are on the floor of the back seat of the car at the end of the film.

  • Until you drive one of these, you have no idea. My dad had one of these. 740i sport. Couple years newer. Fucking incredible. Neck-snapping acceleration even at 50 mph...

  • Not neccesarily quick from a stop, but once they are rolling, they are rocketships. I especially love them with the Sport Package like the one in this movie. And the handeling is incredible for a car of this size and weight!

  • I love BMW. No matter how hard I drive it, it never gives me problems. And without a doubt my next car will be a M-series.

    -535i owner

  • @sradbrendan whu u drive it so that hard? u have some problems with drivig a BMW ?

  • @sradbrendan and I have an 07 X5 and it had more problems than my previous Japanese car

  • @sradbrendan You must live in a city.

  • I bet most people who watch these films don't even own a bmw.

  • donjr, the point they were trying to make is their luxgery super saloon, meant for luxgery and confort can manuver like a regular. I find it incredible because it is a 7 series not a 3, and if a giant car like that can manuver like that, then its a pretty amazing car.

  • such a cool little film

  • Was this film promoting BMW cars or Ford vans. If it will hold up to that, I'm buying a Ford van

  • Well ... Volvo S90 T5 Executive would've rammed that van off the road and continued on that trip without a scratch.

Then again... it wouldn't be interesting movie ! :D

  • I wonder if the Van hitting the tractor and exploding was done as a homage to the film Vanishing Point.

  • lmao no damage at 3:50 ?? lol!

  • GREAT LOVED IT!!!!!

  • Aw fuk, his car. Turn the volume up!!! Better that way!

  • this bmw would have lost the van like as soon as he put hes foot donw

  • BMW is the best. although in real life they could have lost that van in thirty seconds, lol.

  • these are great flicks. volvo/vw/audi/ all have some of these shorts. People say they are the next generation of commercials since a lot of people use the web now and see most of their advertisement online now.

  • wait! where can i find these, i found all 8 of the "beamer ones, but where are the audo, vw, and volvo shorts???

  • I just searched for them. Found a lot of them on here.

  • where is the music from... or rather... where can i find it?

  • This is such and awesome series!!

But the quality here is terrible.

    Go and check out:

    "thehire(dot)tv"

(thehire(dot)co(dot)uk if you are in the uk)

for free, streamed high-def, fullscreen versions of all of the hire episodes.

  • Hey mate

Thanks a million for the link!

  • Hey, no worries...

Is that not the sweetest player you have ever seen online?

When do you ever see streamed video at that quality with no buffering?

I seriously cannot believe that it's free.

    Cheers!

  • stage6 dot com you can have all of them with even better quality

  • ya, the quality is pretty decent at stage six but the divx player can't compete with the BlastIPTV player. I mean, the BlastIPTV player does it without even having to buffer...how can anything compete with that kind of technology?

  • and wow starting from yesterday stage6 is shut down.... what a sad day

  • This is AWESOME!!

  • write on search

ntetektib - detective with english subtitles

see this video and comment me if you like it.

    it's my movie!!!

  • Nicee...

I think this BMW 7-series is one of the best non-BMWs ever made.

  • non bmw?

  • Oh wait, I was supposed to say one of the best non-M BMWs ever made. You know as in standard models not the M3 or M5 kind.

  • oh i see. non standard bmw my bad.

  • yea. my bad actually, i said wrongly.

  • Slow down... slow down, now! Buckle up. :D

  • 3:07 he tries to buckle the middle belt to the other side.

  • no in the rear seats of e38's the beltst are that way

  • yeah the trunk wont open, hehe

  • Danke so much for uploading, I love big artistic projects like this.

The music at the end is delightfully creepy!

  • with that back impact it is not possible to open that trunk afterwards

  • What is the music in the beggining? main titles music?

  • I want the BMW Films on DVD with extra features! (The making of BMW Films, cast and crew)

  • i wonder what happnens to those cars. i want those M-parallels.

  • what kind of cam this was shot with

  • all these would make an amazing movie!

  • Everyone should check out Mercedes movie trailor commercial "lucky star". That was also awesome. It came out in 2001 and was advertised as though it was an actual film. It wasn't until a few weeks later that it came out that it was actually only an advert! I for one was gutted, it looked like an ace movie.

  • I remember seeing the bmw films when they first came online, they were all well done. It's sad too see that 740 get pounded, I wouldn't dream of driving my 7 that way. Still a good vid!

  • Frankenheimer is the master at car chase scenes. RIP, this is one of the last things he did before he died. And the 740Li is a sweet ride :)

  • sik vids yoo bmw ownz

  • That's why John Frankenheimer was the master of the chase...

  • a little shallow storyline, acting was so-so, cinematography was pretty goood. too much of an advertisement

  • thats the point, it is an advertisement

  • yes, the advertising agency responsible for this campaign is Fallon Worldwide. These movies were only available at BMW website and were also distributed as DVDs at BMW outlets. It's great.

  • quality, so glad someone posted these!!!

  • These videos are great! Ive never seen such good stuff on youtube for cars.

  • moce
