I've heard some critics referring to this and Princess and the Frog (but more this) as being a "Neo-Classical" feel of DIsney.

Well, there was the Classics, The Golden Age, the Dark Age, the Renaissance and the Post-Renaissance.

I vote that the new era- if the films continue to stay this true- to be the Neo-Classical era!

As for the 2D and CGI debate- this movie needed to be CGI to work, but they're going to keep making 2D as well, so its all good.

I read everyone's comments saying that this should be hand drawn ... But I think it wouldn't have had half of the magic. The way her hair was animated was so beautiful and oh god their expressions and *.* It was just amazing, couldn't be any more perfect :)

That's all true, they made an awesome job. Her hair wouldn't be possible to create if it wasn't made in CGI (3D animation). And all, including the expressions, are simply perfect

@mstdesigns It was pretty for it's style. But it still wasn't as fantastic as Rapunzels hair. And I can guarantee you the lantern scene wouldn't have been anywhere near as... well magical in 2D as it was in 3D. I've seen stuff like that in 2D before and it did nothing for me, but I was actually genuinely moved by the visuals of this movie.

Such a great film. It should have got more attention then it did. I'm proud to say that I'm 19 (and a guy) and that I saw the movie and loved it. (even though I went by myself) Thank you, Disney. Thank you.

In Portugal we have to wait a little bit longer. The national release is in December 16th :)
