I play a Strat through a Hot Rod De Ville via a mudhoney 2. Been thinking bout a lovepedal or a Soulvibe. I am now completely converted. Great demo man, thanks a million!!!
I'm stuck. I don't get the differences between vibrato and phase. I have a providence phaser because I want to replicate Floyd, Trower, Hendrix but would a Viper be a better pedal for me?
Well I brought one...it's ok but it doesn't hold a candle next to the Bob Sweet versions....it's ok though but not really classic sounding. It's more modern...but it's ok. Voodoo lad's version is ok too but more deep sounding where as the T-Rex is brighter sounding so between the two it's a matter of ear and tastes......but the early Bob Sweet one's kills. Truly the best Un-vibe remake I ever heard.
GUITAR PLAYER did a shootout between an original Uni-Vibe, a Fulltone Deja-Vibe2, A Molloon Vibe, a Love Pedal Vibe an this one. They concluded the Viper was brighter, more transparent and a bit more modern sounding than the original. This CAN be a good thing, but maybe you'll miss some warmth. Vintage nuts and Robin Trower use their vibes first in line, even before their wahs and fuzzes/distortions/overdrive. The demo sounds very good, though. Keeep them coming!
hi guys, i have this pedal but when i switch it on with my strat plugged into it, i hear some noise... Do you think its because of my strat (i havent shielded it yet)...
Yep, nice demo of great pedal. I found a Viper cheap and bought it, although full retail price is frightening this pedal is very sweet. Add a good Strat and a little reverb for terrific swirly, sparkly cleans and yes, it is tops with OD and fuzz but I'm just hooked on the chordal clean thing it does. It's dead easy for ham fisted blokes such as myself to dial in a sound as good as you have got. I must get around to trying with 2 amps. Nice one Brett and T-Rex.
I came here for the mudhoney... Now i want viper, DAMN IT!!

Great video demonstration....
You gotta love a demo with a Django Reinhardt intro !
Even played the appropriate song called Vipers dream.

@SuperB00gs Most strats don't even have the back's of the pots grounded. I start there and shield for a big difference.

Ah, Django and Stéphane playing on the intro! How debonaire is that?! - I own the mudhoney. Its easily the dirtiest love I've ever fallen in.

anything that sounds the least bit fuzzy that is with a vibe instantly makes me think of hendrix.... is that bad?
notyourhomeboy 2 years ago
Only if you're thinking of him without clothes on. Then it might be a problem, yes. :) Sorry!! Thanks for watching!
Burgerman666 2 years ago
