@FantastyckplastycK I think it's pretty obvious that this isn't meant to be a note for note rendition of the version you hear on GNR Lies. I think the worst and most redundant cover anyone can do is to do a retread of what we already know. There's something utterly pointless and karaoke about that, unless it's a live performance or a tribute band thing. Thats wtf.

@MauFeitioO Thank you :) I'd never claim that, but i guess it's alright for other people to say it. I love covering Guns N Roses, this was i felt as though i had a lot of licence with as it's one of the lesser known tracks, hence the experimental style i went with.

I'm steadily making my way through the entitre GNR catalogue. Its quite time consuming so it has to be taken slowly, but i'll get to the end eventually.

Im working on Nice Boys at the moment. A very straightforward rock n roll tune that can be played a thousand ways. The hard part is settling on an idea.

I havent secured any download rights yet but i think im going to aproach the Guns N Roses management team to see ho i go about doing it legally as i wouldnt want to do Axl out of any money. He is an inspiration to me and i want to stay on his good side.

WRONG! the original version of reckless life is NOT a live recording. they just added some crowd noise in the background. and it was originally on Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide. but i like your cover!

@axl77 yes it is. i've watched an interview of slash or duff or izzy saying that, and the same thing was in the gn'r watch you bleed book. and it sounds live because they played it "live" in the studio, every instrument at the same time, just like a performance. you can find the original demo version without the crowd noise on youtube

@guth4n17 Oh, i just realised i dont need to change it. It is a live recording, its just not in front of an actual audience. Still live though. I remember being in a band and we tried to record songs this way. Its fun to play them as a band as opposed to everyone doing thier individual bits. You get a good feel for how the band sounds in a live setting.
