@stuntman257, I dont remember the brand of clutch he used, but i have the number for the place that makes them in my room somewhere. The motor is mildly built, wieand intake, holley 670 truck avenger, ported and polished heads, .520 something lift cam, not too lopey. A good lopey idle will come from a .550-.560 something. It has a melling high volume oil pump and that pretty much sums it up.
@1963impala2dr, Thats our friends 78 half ton. has alot random problems, lots of electrical. Usually a bad ground....When he went out to start it to leave the starter stuck engaged and ether the starter gear or the ring gear broke...It wasnt giving him problems for a while and then it let him down again...Oh well.

what clutch and pressure plate did ya go with, and what did ya do to the motor?

@NathansBackwoods Nice truck there. FWIW A lopey idle comes from valve overlap not lift.

@445FEar, i did not know that, but most aftermarket cams with that much lift has overlap, thanks for the info.
