Yeah, you're absolutely right. You can't accuse the Republicans of hypocricy. Even though they are the masters of it. And speaking of Obama. I'm not too gung ho about him either. But one distinction you can make between Obama & McCain is that Obama has publicly denounced Farrakhan. Or for better words. Rejected Louis Farrakhan's endorsement. Contrary to McCain, who actually has no problem accepting Hagee's endorsement. But again, you guys believe whatever you want to believe.

McCain is a HUGE flip-flopper. He called Jerry Falwell/Pat Robertson, etc "agents of intolerance" only to speak at Falwell's school and kis his ass a few years or so ago. He also said the Bush tax cuts were mostly for the rich and ridiculous during a time of war, but NOW he wants to make them permanent. Finally, he spoke out very strongly against torture (including waterboarding), but within the last month he voted AGAINST a bill to even more clearly define waterboarding as torture. Maverick?

As a christian, & peacemaker, I can honestly say I believe that John Hagee or McCain cannot bring the coming of Christ. It is written, I believe it, & it will happen no matter what these two men do or say. Christ's power is more than these two mortals or any other for that matter. When Christ decides the time, it will happen, no matter what any man says or does. No need to bomb anyone. As a Cristian, I fear no man, or Nation, only God.

I'd say, however, that you have a better tack on it than someone who thinks he can force "God's" hand on the subject, by promoting the conflict that he thinks will start it.
Hagee is in the same camp as those who sink their money into bogus oil-in-Israel schemes because they think it will hurry the rapture.

DOUBLE STANDARD: Obama was "forced" to denounce and reject Farrakhan (who only stated that he liked Obama); yet, McCain accepts the endorsement of the religious fanatic Hagee. This is shameful. You good white folks need to challenge overt racism (because when "minorities" complain, we are accused of overreacting). The blatant hypocrisy reminds me of the not guilty verdict given to the cops who were caught on tape giving Rodney King a beat down.

I ask this with complete honesty as a Chrisian, Republican, and one who loves history and politics. Can anyone specifically tell me why they hate John McCain? I'm not a big backer of John or Bush, but they share more of my views than the Dems. What exactly are Bush's "crimes" that everyone keeps bringing up year after year? I completely understand opposition to these men, but why is McCain so dangerous for America and what are Bush's crimes?

I am a white, christian, democrat. I do not hate McCain. In 2000 election I was ashamed at what the republicans did to him. It was GW Bush who smeared McCain. The last 7 years we have seen a war started on lies(Iraq), the destruction of our civil liberties, an exploding deficit, a loss of respect in the world view of the USA, rendition, torture, infrastructure that is falling apart (no money to fix), The decider is not a leader.

McCain and Bush are hated for different reasons. The democrats don't really dislike McCain as much as not agreeing with his positions on Taxes and the war. However, most of the far right hate McCain. That's because he's not lock step with what their ideology. As for Bush, there is good reason. He's got us into a huge debt and whether you agree with the war or not. His administration lied on the reasons to go. If you are going to send americans to die, they should at least know why.

McCain can't denounce or regret Hagee's endorsement, that would be denouncing his own base support. This election is more than republicans vs democrats, it will get very ugly.
