It's been a couple years and I'm still a veg! Jan 22 was my 4 year anniversary!

Now I have 20 adult dogs, and 4 puppies[2 of my dogs are the parents], 5 cats, and 1 horse[My other sadly had to be put down. RIP Sparky!

I guess some people were absent that day in high school when they taught you about supply and demand. If you stop eating meat sooner or later it will matter. If the grocery store isn't selling it, they mark it down (you know they want their money) and hope it sells. If they continually have to mark down the same things and take a loss on a product they will stop ordering it unless the demand goes back up. So yeah, if you stop eating meat it does matter. Some people are just stupid. It's sad.

People who don't eat meat or consume dairy can actually get all the calcium they need from fortified soy milk, broccoli, okra, collards, bok choy, soy nuts, etc. There's more calcium in 4oz of tofu or a 3/4 cup of collard greens than in one cup of cow's milk!

I'll also say that although many a vegan/vegetarian excludes meat because they think they'll stop the killing, many also believe it's a conscious effort not to promote the cruelty & killing, and a matter of ethics & personal choice. :)

i agree with Chris19 too, there are people who go to church and then go home and eat pork and steak and do turn the blind eye on animal cruelty in those slaughterhouses. If God loves us, why can't we love animals? I don't think a loving God goes along with what is going on in slaughterhouses. I raise pigs. The reason I raise them is because they are awesome animals. I see things better than this video every day. But reality is when it comes time to provide money for my family it isn't hard selling my pigs. I've been to many meat plants and seen first hand how they treat animals.
