Hey there - I was wondering whether all the sounds used in your cover come from either the ESQ1, MicroKorg or one of the 3 Rolands (Di, Juno 6 or 106), or if you were using one of those to pilot another synth (if yes which one). Great cover by the way and great programming. I think the effects added also contribute a lot to the sounds being real close to the original. Great job!
I wish I could get a miniature-version of you to place in the corner of my living space, playing blue BR-like tunes on moody evenings while I'd get acquainted with a full bottle of fine liquor.
Listening to this makes me want to go watch the movie again. Your playing is just mesmerizing! It's been a few months since you posted anything. Hope all is OK. Thanks again for sharing your talent!
Thanks, after retiring I bought my first used synth on eBay without knowing much about keyboards, and now have a Akai Miniak that I enjoy using to creative new sounds. This vid will remain one of my favorites as it is a fantastic listening journey as well as exciting to be able to watch your movements as you play. Thanks for posting and so far I enjoy listening and watching all of your creations.

Can anyone figure out that constant subtle background chord? It slowly fades in and becomes really noticeable at 0:24. Sounds like a Sus4 7th or Sus2 7th but I'm not sure.
Porque mejor antes de quedarte dormido ...te conseguis una buena pistola..en lo posible Magnum 44 y te sacudis un tiro en el marulo .....sordo..enfermo....volate la cabeza antes de escribir ...pelagatos
The very beginning sounds like Antarctica, and then it melts into the Blues we all know and love. Now I can't help thinking of mixing the two themes (and images) together, Blade Runner and Antarctica. Great cover, by the way.
You sound so close to Him... I think this is the moment you should start creating the pieces that Vangelis should have played but did not for some reasons... Thank you for what I can hear here on your channel...
i cannot pick my jaw up off the floor! that was truly, in the literal sense of the word, AWESOME! that piece is so serene and sinister, it's beuatiful, and you captured it perfectly.
I am completely blown away that you managed to get the lead sound out of the Juno 6, absolutely amazing. I have several analogs including the Juno 60 and have tried to replicate this patch from the Original CS-80 and have never even come close. Your rendition of the Blade Runner Blues is one of the best I have heard to date.
I was wondering if you might possibly share the settings on the Juno 6 lead, I would love to hear it on my my Juno 60.
@jebeq2007 Hi And thanks! I am putting a link to an article in a German magazine about me and my vangelis sounds in the info section here , the settings you need are on the last page of the article ..let me know how you get on:)
@TheVictoris Hi there, not the G but the juno 6 i'm afraid. I don't think the G could do the analogue sound as well as a 30 year old synth. I know the G has a great sound engine, used it here for elec piano.
Truly excellent! You are very talented. The sounds are very close indeed and the playing is exquisite. You capture the feel perfectly. The Blade Runner soundtrack is in my opinion one of the best marriages of music to film of all time.
Absolutely amazing cover. You are very talented. I love this soundtrack and had a go of my own cover utilising Logics EXS only. Nowhere near as good as this though. Could you please detail your equipment. WELL DONE!
@audiomedien Hi there, I've never had any problems in the 15 years i've had it, only the data entry slider is a bit twitchy now from over-use. These ESQ's are usually bulletproof and stand up to a lot of hardship
I'd love to know some detailed info on the parameters of the lead patch. I could listen to that sound for hours... Thanks for sharing, keep up the good work :)
Well, anyone who can authentically reproduce the best of the synth master (Vangelis) deserves all the praise in the world. I envy your abilities (and your synths).
You must have invested lots of time in arranging all this. Great!
You answered some questions on your gear and the used adjustments. The lead voice is not so
very hard to produce, but there ist one secret: the basic string sound/pad of this tune. You managed a little miracle in doing this. It´s so much more difficult reproducing this hovering string than all the other sounds necessary.
Is it a sample or really a standard voice of the microkorg? I use "Atmosphere" and it doesn´t work.
Beautiful!...I see the 'Microkorg' in your gear.
