  • My landlord who grew up just outside of London during WW2, described it like this, that it was great fun. He could see the smoke from London burning, and enjoyed (as he was a child at the time) having war orphans to stay with his family, as it meant extra kids for him to play with! Although obviously a tradegy, the war had its lighter moments for the children at the time, as kids will always find humour in everything.

    I hadn't seen it in quite a few years and it was simply great to see it again.
