@darthopal Another way to go aboiut getting the reaver class without pissing off wynne or any other allies that believe in andraste is to save prior to aproaching the urn, defile the ashes, talk to the zealots outside to be initiated as one of them (which will give you reaver class), save in a new spot, then re-load the save prior to aproaching urn. U will still have reaver class regardless whether u decide to defile the urn or not for 2nd time.

The strength of the writing for Origins is in part the fact that all the characters have their own identity, personality, beliefs, moral alignment, and agenda. As a result, they can't possibly always agree with the Warden or always be the way you want. Sometimes they'll even surprise you. It adds a lot of depth to them, and adds weight to the decisions we make.
@EccentricSage Yeah but you have to admit most of the characters are boring, cookie cutter tards. Alistair especially could not be more dull. The world is small, generic and unconvincing when compared to old classics like baldur's gate and planescape torment and this is largely due to the engine being so dated and ugly. Morrigan, the dwarf and wynne are interesting enough as party members. Flemeth would have been a far better one though.

Hey I was wondering if you can actually destroy the ashes WITHOUT taking some for Eamon? Has anyone tried it? And if so, then how does the ending look? What happens to Eamon, the Warden and their party?
I keep trying to create a b!tchy character and see the reactions of the companions and other characters, but the voice acting is so good and the responses so realistic I can't help but feel guilty and go back to my Mr Goody Pants character.

@bleuarmy06 Did you kill Kolgrim? You need to side with him and he will give you some Dragons blood and when you have that you will have the option to pour the blood over the ashes and destroy them.
@SolaceLight Yes you can but when you leave and are back on the mountain top Kolgrim will confront you and will be angry you didn't follow through so you will have to fight him there
@bleuarmy06 Adding to what Bluearmy said, you may also get the Dragon's blood forom Kolgrim, then double-cross him later and kill him anyway to get some extra XP. By the way, if you taint the urn you will unlock the Reaver specialization.
@NightHeart72121 No one will attack or walk out if you do this. You can be a Reaver, just save it before destroying the Ashes, meet Kolgrim and unlock the Reaver. Then load it and you will still have the Reaver without destroying the ashes
@KarateKidZX Are you sure about that? I've heard Wynne and Leliana turn hostile if you taint the urn in front of them (like, if you have 'em in your party at the time). Supposedly, Leliana won't betray you if she is hardened and has a decent approval rating of you; but Wynne turns on you no matter how much she likes you.
I actualy destroyed the ashes before Wynne was in my group so after destroying them i got Wynne and she never said anything about it. And Leliana i didn't bring to the ashes so i could simple lie to her after being back in the camp.
This conversation and her "hopes" are easily avoidable, she can very well be killed at the start of the broken circle if Morrigan comes along since crossing the door, she was already on borrowed time anyway.
Kay, but how did you get Wynne this far anyway? On my first file I killed her in the mage tower and on my second file I had her help me in the mage tower but then she blocked my path to the boss because she didn't want me to kill innocents so I had to kill her there. Do you just have to be a goody two shoes?
@TentacoolKing At the mage tower at the end you will have to agree to save the mages there so you don't have to kill her but for the rest you will need to take her with you and just do or say things she won't like. It did take me almost all of the game to get her approval down to -100. The quickest way to do it now (and for any party member) is to download the feastday pranks DLC and give her the rotten onions and charcoal.
You can save right before you go to the urn. Get the Reaver specialization and then reload the data and not corrupt it this time. You'll still have the Reaver specialization for all subsequent playthroughs and Wynne won't leave.

@jhottie07 If you destroy the ashes you can unlock the Reaver specialization. But Leliana and Wynne will attack you (if they are with you when you do it) or leave like you see Wynne here doing. You will also have to fight that Guardian, can't remember if he had anything useful.

Same thing happens if Alistairs approval falls to -100 during that quest, Alistair will get angry with you when you return to camp, but Leliana's dialogue won't happen so again she will stay. In the 6 or so times I have played it, only once has she left me for destroying the ashes.
@yodadax222 If you take Wynne or Liliana with you when you taint the ashes, you will have to do away with them (fight them). If they are not in your party and you return to camp, I'm pretty sure Wynne will leave no matter what even if she likes you. I had Liliana as a love interest and when I returned she 'sensed' something was wrong and didn't believe me when I was saying everything was fine and left me. (My persuasion might not have been high enough for her to believe me)

However if your coercion and cunning are high enough you will be able to lie to her and tell her the ashes are in a safe place and she staying with you...
But at the end of the conversion she telling you she will go to see the ashes after she is done with your mission... HA! just imagine the look on her face, you get +2 approval with her after that.

the ashes of andraste was a holy relic.With it,many people could've been saved.Also the blood of the dragon is just transfering knowledge.The magic energy from the dragon passed to the cult and babies.when the Ashes were defiled,the magic energy multiplied,that's all.

@EccentricSage You forget that Dragons are Archdemons in this storyline, so considered Darkspawns if enthralled by the Darkspawns. Wynne made a mistake though, because the Dragon's Blood you used was from the Old God itself and not from a corrupted blood Archdemon.
@EccentricSage i did it on my blood shapeshifter mage and expected alister to walk out but he didnt ah well my mage isnt my main toon anyway im just using him to get the acheivement
@EccentricSage An existing darkspawn taint corrupts a Old God, and it becomes an archdemon. That blood fuels and commands the existing darkspawn thralled to it, and is what the Grey Warden's drink... so pretty much they are one and the same.
@EccentricSage I know this was posted ages ago, but: Dragons Blood as far as the Archdemon goes is the same as darkspawn blood in the sense that they are all connected through it. The fact that Wardens, darkspawn, and the Archdemon share the tainted blood is how they are able to sense each other and be 'called' to gather.
It wasn't arch-demon blood, it was regular dragon's blood. The arch-demon is a blighted dragon containing the soul of an 'old god'. The two things are not the same, and defiling the ashes with dragon's blood has nothing to do with the blight.
Just as a regular un-warden or un-blighted human has no connection to the calling of the arch-demon or the presence of the darkspawn, the un-blighted dragon lacks such a connection as well. Wynne has misplaced priorities.

However if your coercion and cunning are high enough you will be able to lie to her and tell her the ashes are in a safe place and she staying with you...
But at the end of the conversion she telling you she will go to see the ashes after she is done with your mission... HA! just imagine the look on her face, you get +2 approval with her after that.

the ashes of andraste was a holy relic.With it,many people could've been saved.Also the blood of the dragon is just transfering knowledge.The magic energy from the dragon passed to the cult and babies.when the Ashes were defiled,the magic energy multiplied,that's all.

@EccentricSage You forget that Dragons are Archdemons in this storyline, so considered Darkspawns if enthralled by the Darkspawns. Wynne made a mistake though, because the Dragon's Blood you used was from the Old God itself and not from a corrupted blood Archdemon.

@EccentricSage An existing darkspawn taint corrupts a Old God, and it becomes an archdemon. That blood fuels and commands the existing darkspawn thralled to it, and is what the Grey Warden's drink... so pretty much they are one and the same.

@EccentricSage I know this was posted ages ago, but: Dragons Blood as far as the Archdemon goes is the same as darkspawn blood in the sense that they are all connected through it. The fact that Wardens, darkspawn, and the Archdemon share the tainted blood is how they are able to sense each other and be 'called' to gather.

It wasn't arch-demon blood, it was regular dragon's blood. The arch-demon is a blighted dragon containing the soul of an 'old god'. The two things are not the same, and defiling the ashes with dragon's blood has nothing to do with the blight.
Just as a regular un-warden or un-blighted human has no connection to the calling of the arch-demon or the presence of the darkspawn, the un-blighted dragon lacks such a connection as well. Wynne has misplaced priorities.
