OMD best song & video (just With Andy - founder member) full of metaphores & anthytesis of youth & eldership... that make us think that life is a short passage on a ball call earth that always stands above us... Many thamks to OMD
this is a miserable comment of someone that doesn´t know nothing about music or to accept others likes... I don´t understand how this is allowed... Sorry but I think it's the cruel world we live in today... Go away!
I love how thoughtful the lyrics are in this song. I esp. love the symbolism of the old man trying to reclaim his youth or wife who passed away by putting up a ladder that is impossible to climb. Thats one of the I love about OMD- they have itelligent lyrics and videos with awesome tunes.
those drums are from James for sure, bring back Paul H ffs, at least he can sing although I have to admit that andy mac does write a few catchy tunes, this is not one of them
I just checked out "sit down" by james. It sounds similar, but this song leaves "sit down" in the dust. OMD is such a brilliant band, that few bands are even in it's league.
I just checked out "sit down". It sounds similar, but OMD is just a superior band. Few bands are as brilliant and can play in the same league as OMD. If I've offended you, I apoligize. Just remember that taste in musical is subjective.
I cry so much when I hear this

Great song. A forgotten one that came out during the 90s at a time when people assumed all bands from the 80s were crap.

Fans of this song would probably also love the classic 1991 single "Sit Down" by the band James. The two songs sound pretty similar.
