guest trumpetist and guitarist pulls it off but the piece isn't thought out, it's just saying to me "hey lets do big band version from this piece" and it suffers alot. I've never heard good big band versions from methenys music unfortunately. Would like to see more improvisation from the piano player. 2 stars for overall presentation because to me it was uninspiring. 5 stars for picking this piece up in first place.
