The Rock's fire of life may have been extinguished in a plane crash in 1969, but the things that he did...and the incredible things that he's remembered for; toughness, heart, spirit, pride, and a nonpareil will to win; those things will exist till the end of humanity!
@xotatumxo ...your correct Rocky was a great fighter......but what you fail to understand is when Joey walcott was in his prime Rocky was a nipper......he fought a well past it Walcott.
I hope you dont mind if i correct that for you, "Rocky Still IS a Legend" I'm not old enough to have seen any of his fights but just the man that i've seen him portray in and outside the ring in videos and interviews is the man that i admire and still look up to,even though he's gone.Long Live "The Brockton Blockbuster"
When my Grandson Rob was Boxing for Rockys Cousin Mike i looked down at his Boxing Shoes and on each one he had put a pic of Rocky on them to show how he honered Rocky as a Champ,
I thought that was nice plus my Grandson Won his Boxing Match that night also.
@Linkindark2 shut the fuck up...he fight for proffesional not olympic, im canadian and im proud of him because i liked him, him as a fighter if i was there i know i would always have been taking for him, any fight even if he would have lost, for him, stop taking credit for your country
@Linkindark2 Rocky was American of Italian descent just like me and he not only represented a champion for Italian-Americans but was well loved by all. he was born in America in case you don't know any better.
A lovely tribute. Peter seems a fine man. His brother would be proud

Rocky Marciano was my hero when I was a kid in the 50's. He just seemed larger than life and he was a great champion.
