Ultras really aren't a counter to Mass Marine until you max out the Ground Armor upgrades, and even then its debatable in "Off-Creep" situations. The best use of them is really the Brood Lord into Ultra tech switch vs terran where you build Brood Lords to force the Terran into investing in some Vikings, and then as they are building Vikings during recovery after the initial reveal, you build the Ultras that eat grounded vikings for breakfast.
