love his voice, I smoke to stay out of amnesia and kill the only link I have to get better.. I want to woirk but the pohone lines get cut, I would leave but my kids tied to a landmine,, and I am afraid I might never live that down:)
has that "End of the Innocence" feel. and man, if you been driving or been driven out- this will encapsulate the moment, the memory, the majesty of it all.
the briliant thing is, Kurt VIle references and responds to his previous songs, for example "I don't know if its real, but its how I feel", on a previous album on the song Space Forklift he sings "But is it real? Is it real?"
Amazing. Can very much hear the influence of Fleetwood Mac, Lindsay Buckingham type guitar. Great tune, just great. I challenge anyone to not sing the 'yeeeaaaaah'
wow... my brother (my best friend) died when i was 15. its not often i find songs i can connect to so literally with about it all. i love kurts honesty in how he sees the world, so many of us feel the same way...
@tmvnotmtv I know the feeling. My best friend killed himself a few weeks before this album came out. I fell to my knees the first time I heard that chorus.
This is my first time hearing this. I can't remember where I first heard about this guy, but I was curious mainly because of the silly name. I actually like I'm hearing. This is a fantastic song. Simple, yet powerful. Almost mesmerising, in fact.
Great music. Thank u for sharing
I bought the album because I got to hear it here.

He means Runners Up. Good song, though.

@BandyGreensacks No, "My best friends all gone but i got, runner ups yeaaaaahhhh'
Leinadnash 1 month ago
@Leinadnash I mean that the correct phrase is "runners up," not that the uploader posted the wrong song title.

@asfarasisee damn... yeah i feel you. to quote another one of kurt's songs, "best love" :
Sometimes I lay awake at night turning cus I lost my best friend
If you had a true friend I'm sorry and you know I feel for you
Me I lost someone like a doctor so its deeper than I talk to you
It makes me feel like a part of me is dead too

I am old school, ( 63 ) and I think he is a talent. reminds me of Bob Dylan when he was young.
mortvc 11 months ago
I love how he reuses lyrics, like this has the lyrics from Red Apples, and Freeway and Beach on the Moon are the same
