(continuation of last comment) I would truly like to thank you for making this video along with my bestfriend and his two brothers. It has really touched us and i am sure we will continue to watch it every year for possibly the rest of our lives. I really can't begin to explain how much i love this video. A little less than a year ago i was spending the night at my beset friend's house before going paintballing, we were up late at night thinking about a future beach trip and that is the first time i saw this. From that time until the day we left,(about four months) me, my best friend, and his brothers watched this video at least once a day. A week ago we started watching again and I guarantee we will watch it until we the day we go.

The song is absolutely about going to Ocean City. The guy sings how his girlfriend went to school at Ol' Miss, and she came to Baltimore in 1974. The rest of the lyrics speak for themselves!
lmao! 3:10 I ride that Haunted House every single year and the first year they added the electric chair man, it freaked me out! This video just had me rollin!
Thank you for this! I was 14 when this song came out, and still love it to this day. With its references to the Chesapeake Bay and Baltimore, this song was a perfect fit for Ocean City, MD. I lived there the summer of '79, I'm glad you got the "Ocean Gallery" at the end, as it was an iconic image of OC - no longer there. Also the sand sculptures in front of the Plim Plaza are AWESOME! I'm glad they still do that.
@TheDirtydeak the shark is sticking out of ripleys and is thier main gimmick to attract visitors and works some of the time making piston noises and moving to and fro as if escaping from ripleys, thats right, ripleys believe it or not.

@MyMultimedia i just went to wildwood and atlantic city for the first time so I can't say I go many places enough to judge BEST since I've been so poor i've slept in my car for vacations in O.C.. it's my fave by default but wildwood has better rides and boardwalk and larger much like oc was back in the early 80s before economical downsizing of the 90s and 2k. This is like asking a bum if he thinks schlitz or millwaukees best is the best beer. he buys what he can afford. I love the drunken yout
@MyMultimedia oc has just eough beach to not have to walk a mile except for the end of the boardwalk. OC has a god religious community that holds the place from goin to hell and really is OC from fall to spring. I got to see a good concert w the commodores a year ago for free even though they were in a tent. . ie good shows and events like bike week. frontiertown is awesome. good museums too with the most gold I've ever seen in one place at the discoverssea museum past 145th st.
i have been going to OC since i was a baby till now my family has been going a total of 27 years or more and the best part is going on the boardwalk its so much fun i love there boardwalkl fries andfishers popcorn yummm. the best time to go is at night
GREAT VIDEO! I've been going to OC for the last 40 years and your video captures many of the things that make it GREAT place. I watch your video whenever I missing OC and it helps fill the void. What a wonderful choice of music and clips. Your video would is a better advertisement for OC than anything I've seen on TV in years. I wish I had captured some video years ago when the haunted house “Morbid Manner” was out on the pier. It was a nostalgia piece of OC history I’ll always miss. Thanks!

@funkeytoad08 hi.. most of the boardwalk staples are still there..(Thrashers, the tourist traps, the carnival rides & games, etc) but the ppl populating the boardwalk have changed drastically. I lived in OC for a couple years in the 90s, (after being a childhood tourist there all thru the 80s) & everyone working on the boards then, were college kids on summer vacation (including lots of the seasonal cops) & now its all immigrants who (imo) arer rude (& they barely speak English) its lame. peace

We even have pictures of me siting on a baby lounge chair on the beach with huge glasses looking at my mother as if to say" get that camera out of my face, I'm tanning" ah..... such wonderful memories... first haunted house.... first funhouse.....first "spinning while music plays" ride, first mirror maze....

LOL When I was 5 the family sent me into the glass maze. I got way in and could not get out. I kept bumping into the glass god did I cry. I can still see my dear family watching and laughing at me. The ticket taker had to come get me god knows my family wasn't going to. Stupid Family.
@djwarren49 don't forget the skate park on 6th two blocks away from the boardfwalk, the indian head sculpture, cousin it was videod at the eagles nest and the bay bridge is 150 miles from oc, so %5 of this video isn't about the boardwalk.
@bobadork it all started when the sifrits couple stayed in the condo for memorial day weekend 2002 with another couple. they became fast friends and both couples partied at seacrets and the the sifrits lured them back to the condo and accused the couple of stealing erika sifrits purse when the husband pulled a gun the couple barricated themselves in the bathroom. the couple kicked the door a little and shot through it and killed the couple and dismembered their bodies

LOL When I was 5 the family sent me into the glass maze. I got way in and could not get out. I kept bumping into the glass god did I cry. I can still see my dear family watching and laughing at me. The ticket taker had to come get me god knows my family wasn't going to. Stupid Family.

@djwarren49 don't forget the skate park on 6th two blocks away from the boardfwalk, the indian head sculpture, cousin it was videod at the eagles nest and the bay bridge is 150 miles from oc, so %5 of this video isn't about the boardwalk.

@bobadork it all started when the sifrits couple stayed in the condo for memorial day weekend 2002 with another couple. they became fast friends and both couples partied at seacrets and the the sifrits lured them back to the condo and accused the couple of stealing erika sifrits purse when the husband pulled a gun the couple barricated themselves in the bathroom. the couple kicked the door a little and shot through it and killed the couple and dismembered their bodies

I dont see it in the video, but it was big news in OC in summer 2002. A young couple were murdered in the Rainbow condo (which is at the north end - 11200 Coastal Hwy) by another young couple they had met that night. No one knows to this day why.

Fantastic video! Ocean City was always our destination every summer throughout the early to mid 1970s, so it is especially associated with many good times in my childhood. Added to the sights of OC is one defining song of my childhood, "Moonlight Feels Right", which was popular in the summer of 1976, and you've just taken me back to when I was 12. Thank you very much!

I lived in Maryland since and was born (1969) And I can honestly say after being away for two years taking care of a family member in Texas that I REALLY miss it, the steamed crabs, and most of all Ocean City... A wonderful place that really floods my mind with pleasue and relaxation.. @DiamondsGlow87 ok. i just went to wildwood nj and it was twice as large a boardwalk, games, and three times the rides. I was completely blown away. The beach needs a shuttle since it's a mile walk but otherwise awesome. They had all the stuff ocmd had 30 years ago except better video games
