Do you really think the story behind the boss would be as mundane and boring as your explanation?

Lol no need to get snippy. :) All the Boss's background stories are mundane and boring but they make it look awesome. :) If he didn't have a Tapeworm, how do you explain the Tapeworms coming out of the Boss during the fight? If he really didn't have tapeworms, then that wouldn't have been added in the game. But it was added during the fight, the "Joke" as you called it, was foreshadowing the story of how the Boss died. It's simple story mechanic's. :)

@xAFxSaikox OK sorry for the snapiness. But he didn't have a tapeworm. I even looked it up. I've finished the game twice, and it was Johnson just saying that. It wasn't in the book. The things weren't tapeworms, they were just an attack. Nothing makes sense, just like when Garcia realises Paula is a demon and kills himself by sitting in the darkness.

@shinjiroJ Nah, sort of told a fib. He tries to kill himself but does'nt. Instead at the end Paula is revealed to be Fleming's queen. Remember when Garcia said he found Paula in a dumpster? She was a plant, put there by Fleming to lure Garcia in. They're eating when Paula turns black and demonic, and holds a knife to his throat, then collapses. The last thing you see is loads of flying demons coming towards Garcia and Johnson, and the talk between them implies that they're going to die.
